1 Chapter 1: Kimiko Yukihime

Kimiko transferred to our school in late autumn. The moment you see her you can already tell she stands out from everyone else despite not only having a small and petite physique that looks fragile to the point of breaking any second but also by having the most basic default Asian look there is to ever exist. She has slick straight black hair that's shoulder length with bangs. Her eyes are a light shade of hazel with gold flecks. Her height is 4'8, weight 39kg and her three sizes are 68cm/60cm/86cm. truthfully even to this day it still surprises me how she can capture people's attention by just being in the same room.

Perhaps it's the way she presents herself to others as if she's looking down on everyone else as nothing more but mere ants. Or maybe it's how she prances around all day wearing a Japanese school uniform as if she's doing some sort of service cosplay event. Maybe it was all of those, but what's for certain it's definitely because Kimiko Yukihime, the 12th grader who attends the same classes as me, is a 12-year-old girl.

To put it bluntly she is a genius who managed to skip a few grades. However, that isn't the least bit what's surprising about her. The way she behaves isn't that of a normal 12-year-old girl, that is to say the mere existence of Kimiko Yukihime alone isn't that of a normal child, she herself is mature. Not quite mature but is mature. No matter how smart a kid is they still possess a childlike innocence to their personality which gives of the impression "deep down they're still just a kid". If I were to be more precise, I'd say she has this ambiguous yet elegant aura about her that just screams she's not someone you can easily approach as if she's an aristocrat.

Which more or less is true since her family is Hella rich. From her clothing and school equipment to the way she carries herself with dignity and the food she eats are those of someone who comes from a high-class upbringing. Heck she even got her own chauffeur who drives a black Mercedes Benz. she just comes from a rich proper family, it's as simple as that.

Is what I like to say but in way that conclusion just makes things even more confusing. If all of that is true than can someone just explain to me, preferably the person in question herself, why is it that a 12-year-old genius who comes from a presumably powerful upper-class family be attending a normal public high school in the suburbs!?

I'm not one to meddle in troublesome matters that don't concern me especially with something regarding the fellow genius herself. However, that being said I'm curious. No, curious would be an understatement at this point. For some reason I have this strong desire to find out more about the runt. It's as if there's something that's drawing me to her, like an inexpiable force that's sucking into this spiral of curiosity that will never feel content to the point of giving me headaches from trying to find a logical explanation. Although no matter how hard I think about it, the conclusion I always end with just never sat right with me.

Why go to a high school in the suburbs of all places? Why not go to one in the city?? Scratch that, why even go to a public school at all!? Her family can obviously support her financially so why even bother with a school like ours. Moreover, I bet she doesn't even need to be in high school. Heck she's smart enough to be in college so what exactly is she doing here!!??

It just doesn't make sense! But like I said I'm not someone who is very meddlesome, especially concerning weird inexpiable beings like little miss Kimiko Yukihime. I'm just not that type of character.

Then what type of character am I? well if I were to describe myself, I would say I'm just your everyday average charismatic, funny, smart, charming, and overall lovable dude. Though others may beg to disagree and spew some shit about how I'm a narcissistic sociopath pervert who doesn't give a care in the world except for himself, or at least that's what all my exes say. Although not that anything they say matter or are even worth mentioning.

Regardless the existence of this tiny creature that I see pass by in the hallway every day for some reason bothers me. Maybe it's because of all the headaches that this girl causes me to suffer on a daily basis from seeing her play her little "antics". Something about seeing her all alone desperately trying carry her books around just irks me. Like how she won't accept help from others even if she really needed it. Surely how snobby can one be. Yet again that's got nothing to do with me. Especially since both Kimiko Yukihime and I live in two completely different worlds which is a border that I never want to see what's beyond. It will take a miracle for us to interact with each other especially since there really isn't any reason to. Besides everybody knows that nothing good comes out from getting involve with the likes of Kimiko Yukihime.
