Unexpected Encounters

"Axaelia Bryant, age 17 years old, sex: female, hair color: Brunette, eye color: green, height: 5'6, weight- wait a minute what does all this got to do with the job, aren't you like supposed to be asking me questions based on work regarding a café, like: do you know how to make a frap?'' this is what I said to the owner of the café when she asked me to read all that written in the form I filled, I found it ridiculous to be telling bout my physical features, it sounded like info needed for a job as an fucking prostitute.

"Very well I was just testing you" I was surprised when the owner of the café smirked at me and said that

"Testing?!"

"Yes, testing, I was checking if you're foolish like the previous people, I asked the same to the previous job volunteers and they read their info's without questioning, but you, you were smart enough to question me since it seemed unnecessary to you, this proves your worthy of the job, You get the job, you can pick an apron and start working tomorrow" hearing this my heart beat fastened and it seemed impossible to be getting a job thousands of people get rejected for.

"Yes, sure….thank you so much, I would start working tomorrow"

"Since you said you're still in college, I'd give you the afternoon shift, it would be easier for you,"

Saying this she left from there, and I was still in my thoughts.

Aridona Sweet Dreams café, the most famous café in the city of Oak Park, c.a. I've been trying out jobs in different fields, but every time they find out I'm a student, all they say is 'we don't hire students due to lack of experience' or 'we'll inform you later' or 'sorry your request was declined' I've been trying out around 6-7 jobs a day and now I finally receive the job in the most luxurious café, the owner Mrs. Payton, was very understanding to offer me the afternoon shift too.

Finally, I would be able to pay my apartment rents with my own money, I'm so sick of making my parents pay for me and get called a brat. Speaking of parents. I got a missed call from my mother 10mins ago, I really need to call her back. I dialed her number and she seemed to be out of coverage so I gave her another ring.

"Hello, mom?"

"Yes, yes Axie Hun, its mother dear, what's the matter? Why didn't you call back? I was worried for you, did someone kidnap you?...?"

"Mother I'm all good, I was in an interview with Mrs. Payton, and guess what? I got the job"

"Oh honey, you don't need to work or get an interview just say that you're Mrs. Leroy's daughter and you'll get everyone bowing down to you"

"Mother nobody knows I'm your daughter, nor do I want anyone to know neither do I need your money power to get things easy, I want to work hard and take the narrow way, I don't want people to think that I'm a brat who gets everything. Isn't this why I chose to stay away from all of you?"

"*sigh* yes, yes I get you, baby, just be careful, you know you always have us if you need anything. Bye have a nice day sweetie"

"Sure mother, Goodbye"

*sigh* it's already 2 pm, I should really be going home and eating lunch.

Finally some peace to myself, I won't have to run behind jobs now, Hmmm I made myself instant pasta since I was really exhausted and proceeded to finish my homework, I had a lot to do, so I think I would start immediately...…...

As soon as I began writing I got a text from my best friend Skylar

S: Meeting at club BLACK & BLUE today, it was a last-minute decision, Are you coming?

A: Sure I will, won't miss it. Are the others coming?

Another last-minute meeting, Skylar is my best friend, she has either a meeting with all of us at the club or a party almost every weekend and the same excuse 'it was a last-minute decision'

After I was done with homework I broke some knuckles and headed to my closet to search for something to wear to the club. After hours of searching, I decided to wear a black spaghetti-strapped crop top and jean skirt for the bottoms, black pencil heels, a black choker, long silver hoop earrings, and a high pony to top it off, I also added on a black and silver watch which belonged to my sister.

It was already 7:45 pm there was still time, so I decided I'd snack on something and pass my time somehow or the other. I went to the fridge and found a tiny container of blueberry yogurt, I loved yogurt a lot, I frequently bought boxes and stacked them in my fridge but this one was the last.

I really loved music hell lot and decided to play some songs from my Spotify playlist. As soon as I turned on the speaker's Madison Beer's song Boyshit was playing, the song really gets me with its chorus. After that, I played on Billie Eilish's songs Therefore I Am and Lo Vas A Olvidar. The two are Real queens then I also played on some Ariana Grande, Ava Max, Justin Bieber, and Shawn Mendes. I really love music a lot. Hearing all this it was already 8:22 pm. I realized the time and quickly ran to my car. I drove at the speed of light and reached the club at last. Parking my car was always a headache and I don't know why it was taking double the time today.

I took literally 5 minutes to only park my car in place and hopped off into the club.

On entering the room was really crowded, I spotted Skylar from a distance along with Milena, another one of my besties.

"Hey Axaelia, Over here," Milena said waving her hand towards me

I walked across the crowd reaching them.

Mil: Hey Ax, You're breathing heavy

Ax: Took you long enough to realize

Sky: Leave her alone Milena, let her catch her breath

When I finally was steady I noticed Kendall, she was a friend of ours, who I never liked, and two years back she transferred to Texas because of her father's job transfer

Kendall was happy as ever when she greeted us, "hey, babes, long time no see, I missed you bitches so much, did y'all miss me?"

Skylar blurted out, "Kenney, we missed you too" Yeah I didn't

Honestly I hadn't missed Kendall, the only reason would be, 2 years back at the end of the semester, just days before her departure from oak park, someone stole her expensive gold ring, as she thought and she framed me for it, I even almost got expelled from school for that, since it wasn't my fault I insisted going through the cctv's and when we did, it came out that the ring wasn't stolen, Kendall had left it in the lecture hall. From that day I avoided Kendall because of this, I guess she kinda holds a grudge against me.

"Hey Axaelia, You good?" Kendall sweetly asked me, but I knew those words were just poison

"I'm fine Kendall, I just need to get myself a drink, you guys coming"

We spent the time talking, dancing and drinking. I had already told them about my new job. It was already 11:20pm, my friends decided to leave, but I insisted on staying longer. By the end of the night I was already really drunk.

I stayed long enough and decided to leave, just when

Someone dashed me and threw beer all over me

Realizing this, I was furious and angry, my top soaking in beer, I looked up to who it was, and well I wasn't surprised on knowing who.
