"Dude, you're behaving REALLY weird right now." Daniel commented at my sudden happy jerk in the cab. Even the driver looked over and smiled at me.

"Oi, planning something for your special one eh?" The sweet looking old man said from the drivers seat. He hadn't recognised me because I had morphed my face into someone else.

Daniel was all too familiar with my magic tricks, he even commands me to do some when I forget to function under some circumstances. One thing that makes our friendship so strong is that we never let each other down.

Not even by chance. And I think that's what soulmatery is.

We stopped by at the shopping complex, paying the bills to the taxi and getting inside.

The first thought on my mind was to buy a couple ring. So we went to the Tiffany's I design a pair.

"Bro, this is Tiffany's!" Daniel whisper shouted once we got inside, not realizing what he was walking into actually. I gave no proper response, other than a click of my tongue and dragging him in.

"Oh, hello sir. What can I help you with?" The salesgirl kindly spoke.

"I'd like to buy a couple pair, custom design. And I'd like to engrave names on it." simple and efficient.

"Sure, sir. Please follow me." she guides us to a section of silver, gold and platinum rings. I choose the platinum pair.

"Sizes?"

"7.5 and 10 please."

I do remember the size of her fingers, and I honestly hope I'm not wrong with my guesses.

I select the pair right away, a simple chrome finish ring. I hand her the piece of paper which has our names scribbled on it and she passes it on to the designer.

"Jane? As in our Princess?"

Oh. Panic time.

"N-no. There are a lot of females named as Jane in our city, sir." his mouth forms an 'o' and he gives out an awkward laugh before walking away. I pay via card and exit the showroom quickly, proceeding towards other stalls and showrooms.

"Bro, bro! How in the hell did you get all that money from!?" Daniel yelled on my face, creating a small commotion around us but it dismissed as quickly. I laughed and responded.

"The King gave me a black card." I wave the dark colored card in front of his face.

"That's almost half the amount of the state budget." his mouth falls at my add on, and I had to shut it for him before he feeds on insects now.

"Ron...are you kidding??"

"Well, no. Jane wasn't lying when she said her father was a nice man. The Que— I mean her mom too." I correct myself after realizing that we're in public. The overdramatic friend of mine clutching his face with his hands and I continue to laugh.

"That's insane bruh."

"I know right."

"How about...this one?"

"Ron, she's going to die of suffocation if you're gonna gift that to her. Or worse, take her on a date with that dress and she's gonna keep choking on air." I drop the turtleneck long gown to the floor and stomp around the shop in frustration.

It's been almost over nine long hours at the shopping mall with Daniel who looks like he's going to faint any moment soon. I kept channeling my energy into him through my powers, but he was bored beyond limit which made me give up on him in a blink.

"Dan stop whining." I say sternly, but he continues to get on my nerves.

"Let's go to the arcade already! Bro your shopping list is never ending! Let's come back tomorrow!!" he desperately yells but I ignore him and search through the piles for a perfect dress for my mate.

Okay. Maybe I'm being too excited and am being harsh on Dan.

"Well. Okay then. Let's go to the arcade."

"YES!"

[The Very Next Day]

With my mother's kindness, I could properly make a facetime with Jane early in the morning. I've been lacking in my sleep since days, and today shouldn't matter at all to me.

I saw her face brightening up when she saw me through the small screen.

"Hello baby!"

"Hello Ron!" she waved to me like an excited baby she was.

"How was yesterday?" I asked her. She went in for a long explanation of how monumental her day went and how she missed me. She made me feel extremely bad when she said she had to see me right now.

But I had other plans.

I gave her a painful smile and that's when I saw the small tear drop trailing so sadly on her rosy cheeks.

Well, the shopping can wait.

I summon my powers almost instantaneously, dropping the phone to the bed (because I didn't know how to switch off the facetime) and transported to the palace.
