Chapter 5: Dr. Xavier

"Hah! Hah!"

Erin grasps her chest as she catches her breath.

'That dream...Lucas is..."

Lucas? That's right! Where is he? Erin panic as she saw that he is not beside her on the bed anymore.

"Lucas! Lucas! Where are you?"

She called with panic and distress in her voice.

*Screech*

The bathroom door opened and it revealed Lucas, who is wearing a plain grey shirt and pants. His hair is drippy and a towel is draped around his neck.

"Good morning beau..." Before he could finish his sentence Erin run towards him.

"Lucas." She called out to him and hugged him tightly.

"What's the matter my moonshine?" Lucas asked worriedly. He seems to notices that her whole body is trembling.

"I had a terrible dream," she said while having a teary eye.

Hearing this, Lucas gently caresses the hair of Erin.

"It's alright. I'm here now." Lucas said softly while patting Erin's hair. Reassuring her.

"I know. That's why I know it is just a dream." Erin said as she continued to hug Lucas. She can't hide her fear because the dream felt so real that it consumes her emotions.

"What did you dream that makes you something like this?" Lucas can't help but ask. He feels worried more because of the way his fiance acted.

"I dream that you go to some very far away place and never came back," Erin said with a trembling voice.

Lucas kissed Erin's forehead when he heard this. Then after that, he spoke in a mild and sweet voice to calm her fiancee.

"And why would I leave my moonshine? Just being an inch away with you is already killing me. What more if you are very far away. My soul would cease to exist at that time."

Erin giggles when she heard this. "Really an inch would kill you? You already took a bath while I'm asleep and it seems you still look fine to me." Erin said as she moves away from Lucas now to finally see his face.

Water is still dripping from it down with his high nose. His skin looks really smooth without any blemishes along with his chiseled jawline. And damn those red kissable lips.

Somewhat seeing Lucas' handsome face calmed her down along with Lucas' words.

"No. It really kills me. I almost die while I'm on the bath." Lucas touches his chest and acts as if he is dying.

"AWW HELP ME MY MOONSHINE. YOU'RE MY ONLY SAVIOR AHH!" Lucas said while he closes his eyes and put his hand on his chest.

Erin only rolled my eyes with this. Now she felt completely relax because of Lucas' terrible acting.

"But then..." He suddenly stops his act and looks straight into her eyes. Then a playful smile starts to form on his handsome face. "If you want, to show that I'm being serious, I could have another bath but with you this time." He said as he winked at her.

'Damn! He looks so freaking hot!' Erin thought as she felt that blood started to rush through her face. She felt a jolt of electricity in her body that caused shivers to her whole body.

This man! Even my cells and nerves are going to surrender in his presence.

' UGHH! God, why did you bring such a crazy hot perfect man into my life? This is making me nuts! Erin thought.

She turned around to look away from him. 'I don't want him to see my flushed face. It is so embarrassing.' she murmurs as she covered her face with her two hands.

"Did you say something my moonshine?" Lucas inquired. His smile only grows seeing Erin's reaction.

"Arghh! Shut it! I'll go cook our breakfast now!" Erin said as she runs outside the room still covering her face with her hands.

'UGHH! What will I do? It's been a year since we become an official couple but I still act this way like some lovesick girl teenager. UGHH ERIN!!' she screamed in her thoughts.

*Bang!* She slams the door really hard.

Seeing Erin's reaction, Lucas can't help but let out a heartily laugh.

"Oh, Lord. What did I do to deserve such a cute and adorable wife? I'm really the luckiest man on Earth." He said while grinning more.

"I'm not your wife yet!" Erin who entered the room heard all of this. Her face is still red as she hurriedly gets her phone from the table of lampshade near the door. Then she went out of the room and closed the door with a bang!

"It would be. Next week!" Lucas shouted as he followed Erin who is heading now downstairs towards the kitchen.

"So I'm really not your wife yet! There is still a week of me being free!" Erin shouted back. Now there is still a hint of teasing in her voice.

"There is no difference to me." Lucas caught up to Erin in the kitchen. As she is already getting some eggs in the refrigerator. "You're already mine and mine alone," Lucas said as he whispered through Erin's ear.

Erin shivers as she felt the lips of Lucas touching her ear.

"You..."

Erin tried to look back to him to retort but her lips were immediately sealed to Lucas. She instantly tastes his sweet soft lips and loses her balance with this surprise. But Lucas hugs her waist so she would not fall and pull her closer to deepen the kiss.

After a few minutes...

Lucas is the one to let go first. He chuckled to see the daze face Erin.

"Always remember that my moonshine." He said with a grin, then started to run away from the kitchen.

"Lucas.Get.Back.Here!" Erin screamed as she clenches her two fists.

"Why? You want another kiss?" Lucas shouted back shamelessly.

Argghh. You...!" Erin don't know how to talk back with this.

"No! Just Feed Choco well!" Erin shouted back. Then she went back to focus on making their breakfast.

If you are curious Choco is their K9 pet dog. Though they are not fond of the name since the old gramps is the one who names her, then they just politely agreed with him.

'Why did these past days, this man here becomes more and more shameless? I'm starting to have doubt's now if I made the right decision answering his proposal.' Erin thought as she cracked the eggs to the bowl. Then start mixing it. Though, this is what in her mind, the brilliant smile on her face only grow further as she remembered more about Lucas.

A simple day like this makes their day full and alive.

'Only a week now and it will be our wedding.' Thinking of this, butterflies started to swirl around Erin's stomach.

Since they graduated they finally fixed their real surnames. Though they both want to use old gramps he denied them and insist them to use their real surnames. He told them that they will not be born if those first carriers of those surnames didn't let them live first. He was talking about their real parents.

Though they both suffer because of them. But old gramps made some decent points.

Our real surnames are they? Though it still feels new to Erin to used her dad's surname on hers but she doesn't really care about it that much now.

Maybe it is true that if life becomes much better. Then the only thing you would felt is to be thankful for everything.

"Lucas' surname is Maygram. Then if we got married then...' Erin imagined what it would be like to introduce herself to other people after a few more weeks from now on as Mrs. Maygram.

She felt a little bit nervous since just a few more days, the next volume of her life with her half soul, Lucas Maygram will begin. Then she opens her mouth to begin speaking.

"Hi! It's nice to meet you... I'm Mrs. May-May..." Her faced flushed again. But still, she pursues her practice. She repeatedly visualizes how she would introduce her new name with confidence. Especially that she would be finally married to the most incredible man in the world!

"I'm Mrs. Maygram." She finally succeeded as she could felt her heart beating faster.

"Oh, so who said that she is not my wife yet just a while ago." Erin freeze as she heard Lucas' voice that is obviously teasing her.

*Clang!*

Erin drops the iron spatula she is holding on the ground.

"Lu-Lucas when did you get here?" Erin stuttered as her face becomes redder.

"Hmm. Let's see from the part of 'Hi! Nice to meet you. I'm..." While gesturing his hand on the air and mimicking Erin's voice. But it only just sound like some broken high-pitched falsetto.

"Wahhh! Stop it, Lucas!" Erin pushed him really hard so she could pass through the door.

Well, since she is the police which is really not very obvious from her attitude, she easily pushed back Lucas with her strength. But Lucas manages to grab her hand then pull her towards him.

Erin has dazed again as Lucas moves his face closer to her face. She could almost feel his warm breath as she closes her eyes.

Lucas suddenly laughs. His wife's loveliness to every bit of his charms was just too darling. He couldn't help but tease her.

Hearing his laugh Erin regains her senses as she pushes away Lucas. "Arghh! You are really shameless!" She shouts and hurriedly runs to their room.

"Hey! What about your cooking?!" Lucas shouts.

"Cook it yourself!" Erin shouts back.

*Bang!* Lucas heard the loud bang from the door of their room.

"Hahaha! What should I do? My wife just becomes very adorable with each passing day. " Lucas brushes his hair.

He proceeds to pick the spatula and put it on the sink. He then continued cooking what Erin left.

Meanwhile, in the room, Erin went to the bathroom and look at her face that really turning now into a red. She would really become an apple at this rate.

'How dare you Mr. Lucas Maygram to make me feel vulnerable always!!'

Then she remembered the scene in the kitchen again.

"Wah! So embarrassing" Erin squeezed both sides of her face.

After a moment of staring at the mirror, she finally decided to just take a shower.

A half an hour later she finished taking a bath.

As she got out of the bathroom, she heard the phone Lucas ringing.

"Hmm. Someone is calling Lucas."

But as she is going to get it on the table, The ringing already stops.

She looks at who is the caller. "Dr. Xavier?" she read from the call log.

'He already has 50 miss calls. Why is Lucas not answering him?'

"Moonshine breakfast is ready." Erin looks at the door to see Lucas entering the room.

"Sure. Btw you have a miss call from Dr. Xavier" Erin said as she handed the phone to Lucas.

"Ah. I see." Lucas said with some disinterest in his voice.

"Why do you look like that hearing his name? Is there something that matters to him? He already has 50 miss calls on your log." Erin asked.

"Don't worry he is something nothing for you to be worried about. He is our new boss that I'm talking to you a while ago and he keeps pestering me for a new project that we recently conducted." Lucas then grabs my hand as he pulls me towards the door.

"Let's eat now or we will be going to be late at work?" Lucas said back with his usual gentle smile.
