Chapter 1- Hikari

RINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. A loud noise spread through a brightly coloured room, filled with objects you'd typically find in a child's bedroom.

It was a square shaped bedroom, the walls a plain pale pastel yellow, giving the whole room a jolly look. Towards the west side of the room, a curved glazed window is gently placed, at each evening the window is filled with the stunning view of an orange-pink sunset over a lush forest. Right below the window, sits a comfortable-looking day bed, its colour similar to that of a pale pink rose, littered with sparkling cubic zircona jewels. On the day bed, lie a dozen or so Victorian style dolls, each with frilled lace clothing and delicate features on each of their porcelain faces.

In the centre of the room, is a double bed, on top of a faux fur rug. Its bed sheets are decorated with beautiful hand-sewn ballerinas. Inside this bed, though not noticeable at first, lay a girl. Well, to be more accurate, a teenage girl. Her beautiful golden hair cascaded in streams down onto the floor. She lay there, sleeping, with her eyes closed, her face lightly covered with gentle light brown freckles.

RINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. The loud noise rang once more.

The girl shifted in her sleep, and soon, she opened her two eyes. And, oh my, what a beautiful sight it was. It felt as if all the stars in the night sky were present in the small, square room. Two hazel coloured gems dazzled in the early morning light. Looking at them would most probably blind someone, if they weren't prepared to shield their eyes.

This, of course, is Hikari Kurayami. She is a 15 year old girl, who attends a public academy, and (to one's surprise) isn't known for her beautiful features, but for her love of the supernatural and fantastical. This minor detail is one of the main reasons she hasn't any friends. In fact, it's the reason people tended to avoid her, because she's 'freaky' and 'weird'.

'Ughhhh' Hikari thought to herself, 'Here goes another torturous day of boredom and loneliness' And with that, the beauty rose, and exited the room to prepare for a day at school.
