128 Reischneid's Afterschool Tutoring Session
Nova went back to his room.
It was time for him to mull over some of the things that had happened.
「...The lightning that shot out in all directions. It shattered my Area. Why?」[Nova]
He flipped open his notebook, updating some of the pages he had.
「Reischneid. Do you know why the giant and the hole that appeared under them broke my Area?」[Nova]
「Sure. Should be because of two dimensions clashing. Do you know what a dimension is?」[Reischneid]
「It's like… well, an area, right?」[Nova]
「Yeah. Simply put, your area is a dimension. Let say, anything inside the blood giant is a dimension. It's a space that's within the reign of the person's rules.」[Reischneid]
「Wait! But I thought it was a causal ability. That's what Mune said.」[Nova]
Reischneid stayed quiet for a moment before answering.
「...It should have a tiiiiiny dimension linked with it. The tiny space between you entering and you exiting is like the door frame between rooms. All teleportation abilities should be like that. He began to update his notebook's ability page for Area, while adding new ability pages.
「Oh, Reischneid! What do you think about Etoile?! I think it looks cool and strong, so I used it a few times!」[Nova]
「To be honest, it's absolute garbage. Compare it to a fireball or a wind cutter, it won't be as strong, or with as much area of effect. It's just a precise little shot that you can use to distract people. Maybe if you work on a variant of it, it'll be worth something?」[Reischneid]

Nova opened up a new page and began to jot down the information that was on the card a little unenthusiastically.

Reischneid, noticing Nova's want to use it, decided to change his mind.

Nova cheered up, writing it in his book.

「Yeah. The inside of the giant was a dimension with lycoris flowers with the horizon being the giant's eyes. Pretty weird.」[Reischneid]

Shivers ran down Nova's spine as he solemnly promised to never tell Freyana about it.

Nova closed up his notebook and got off his chair, heading for the door.
「Where are you going? Aren't you tired?」[Reischneid]
Nova looked out the window, looking at the sun that was already setting.
「...Of course I'm tired. But at the same time, I have an overprotective girlfriend to go see.」[Nova]
He went into the hallway, on his way to the lunchroom.
「Yikes. I'm going to focus on gathering mana. I probably won't be sleeping anymore, thanks to your growth recently. I've managed to leech enough mana from our contract that I broke through the first layer of the infusement seals.」[Reischneid]
Nova realized what Reischneid said.
「..Wait! You broke through the first layer? I thought it would take longer?」[Nova]
「Right, well… To be honest, our contract lets me take a bit of mana from you, right?」[Reischneid]
「...It does?」[Nova]
「...Well, yeah. It does. It allows us to share mana in exchange for using my power. That's how contracts work, after all.」[Reischneid]

Reischneid focused on infusing his mana as Nova went to go to the cafeteria.

She had her arms hooked around the arms of a platinum blonde boy with blue streaks in his hair.

Alex had a bright pink blush on his face but he reacted well.
