30 Abandoned

I was standing in confusion for a while probably I lost my sense. Blood was dripping continuously from my right cheek and the other one was still red and painful because of her grip.

After standing there for few minutes, I came back to sense and got seat on the floor covering my face with knees and hands wrapped around leg. I started weeping and sobbing. The more I was thinking about the incident happened just now, the more loudly I was crying. This was the first time I was letting my tears drop after that year.

FLASHBACK:

I ran from hospital where I was abandoned by my own family. I didn't even know the reason for their anger but cluelessly left that place. Now I don't know where to go. I was sobbing and tears were continuously dropping. I didn't even knew where was I going. I was just thinking about the incident happened to me yesterday night and how my parents deserted me without knowing the pain I was going through.

I was roaming with hospital's uniform, without slippers, crying in the busy street. I didn't even realized everyone around me were looking and talking about me. It was a season of winter and I was with only a pair of thin hospital clothings.

It was getting dark and the temperature was probably below -2 degree. My body had no energy left to move. So I just got seated on the grass. Looking around it seemed as if I was in some park but my eyes were clouded by tears so I couldn't see anything. I couldn't understand when I went unconscious. Maybe it was because of low temperature and my non-stop crying.

FLASHBACK END

In between my thoughts, I remembered where and in which condition I was then. So I collected all the strength left in me and stood up from that place. I directly went to washroom which was inside his cabin only. There was a mirror on the left side. I gathered all my courage and observed myself in the mirror. I was devasted to see my condition. My right cheek was bleeding so hard and it had almost covered all my shirt because of my position while crying and the other one was left with finger prints.

I couldn't see my own condition so I rushed to open tap and started cleaning everything. I was crying so loudly during cleaning and I opened tap with maximum force so that no one could hear to it.

"It's okay Pragya. You have already faced such big hardships, this is nothing. You can get over it for sure." then I planned to talk to Mr.Kavin about what happened today after work hour. So I just encouraged myself and gave strength booster by giving smile to myself.

When I went back to Mr.Kavin's cabin, I saw a first aid kit in middle section of cupboard. I just took a bandage and applied on my wound and left towards my department.

I know everybody on the way were having eyes on me and talking about my situation but I rushed back to my seat ignoring everyone.

After taking my belongings, I rushed out of company because once Susan and Samikshya saw me in this condition, they will surely throw tons of question which I won't be able to answer.

I took taxi and went to his home directly.

When I reached there, the door was wide open. I was very rare because since I have moved in to his house, the door was never this open even if he was inside house. In nervousness and different ideas revolving around my mind I entered inside the house.

What I saw there left me appaled and my body in strong shrill as if it has experinced 1000 watts current running all over.
