5 Internal Cultivation Manual!

Kai sat on the dusty bed and put the rod next to him. He decided to check on the cool-down time for [Create Manual].

"It should have been over two hours since I started running". Kai looked around the house to see if there was anything interesting that he could try turning into a manual. He had already tried a twig and rock but those results were disappointing to say the least.

Outside, the sun was about to set but Kai wanted to do a few experiments so he ran to the river shore and tried to turn the entire river into a manual.

==[Create manual]==

[Base material [Grade-1 Drop of water] selected "This will cost 0 Qi. Would you like to proceed?"]

"Drop of water?, I want to turn the whole river...looks like that's asking for too much at this point".

Kai turned around and walked over to one of the few trees in the area. He put his hands on it and tried to create a manual

==[Create manual]==

[Base material [Grade-1 Bark] selected .This will cost 0 Qi. Would you like to proceed?]

"Again, why just the bark?, I want the whole tree!....Is the system telling me to be more realistic?...Or is it because I just don't have enough Qi?".

Kai was curious however since the system went to sleep, he hadn't had any of his questions answered so he could only make his own assumptions.

It was getting dark so Kai walked back to the shack and sat on the bed. Once he lied down, he felt the fatigue of the day wash over him.

"I've been through a lot... Not only did I get beaten half to death, I also got thrown into a death pit then had to run away from some weird guys and a monster that terrified the crap out of me with just a roar".

Just as Kai was about to fall asleep on the dusty bed, he had an interesting thought. He grabbed the fishing rod that he had planned to use for fishing and instead decided to try turning it into a manual. "I wonder if man made objects will have any special effects on the manual's abilities".

==[Create manual]==

[base material [Grade-1 Fishing Rod] selected "This will cost 0 Qi. Would you like to proceed?"

"Yes", Kai tiredly thought. He was ready to get another bust when the fishing rod turned into motes of light and turned into a parchment in his hands. He willed the information into his head and what he saw completely baffled him.

Kai looked at his Manual collection

==[Congratulations to host for creating his first Internal Cultivation Manual]==

"It actually came out!". Kai unknowingly shouted.

==[Internal Cultivation Manuals]==

"Holy crap, holy crap I actually got it!". Kai had jumped off the bed in excitement as he read another system notification.

==[Host has met hidden requirements. [Qi Detection] function has been unlocked]==

Kai's eyes immediately glowed. He looked around and could actually see the amount of Qi contained within the random items all over the place.

[Qi Detection]

[Table [Grade-1] [6 Qi]

[Chair [Grade-1] [9 Qi]

[Bed [Grade-1] [20 Qi]

[Lamp [Grade-1] [3 Qi]...

The bed had the highest Qi he had seen so far which made him curious.

But before thinking about that, he decided to look at his cultivation Manual again.

"So I just need 1 Qi and to start cultivating. And by the looks of it, that 1 Qi will come passively in a day.

Or going out and try catching a beast…".

The 2nd option seemed a little too dangerous for now so he decided to just wait a day. In the meantime, Kai started thinking about cool names for this new Manual. He wasn't too interested in the twig manual so he simply named it "twig".

However, his first internal manual had to have a cool name. He channeled his inner 8th-grade syndrome and came up with "Dragon Subduing Law". Based on the flavor text from the system. The Celestial Guardian subdued unruly dragons so Kai hoped to be able to do the same someday.

Kai looked at his Status and smiled...
