31 Chapter 31 - Anastasius (extra)

"Anastasius! Don't run!"

Nikolas gasped between heavy breaths. The young lord had been running all day around the Palace' gardens. Poor Nikolas -the retired duke ambassador, was in his late fifties.

He had been assigned upon his 'retirement' as the young lords' mentor and nanny at the same time. He sat exhaustedly at the garden bench.

Anastasius Devon, the first prince and heir of the Eastern Empire was born as a strong and high intellect indiviual. Though his parents were a power couple of light and dark magic. Anastasius was born powerless, but had inherited his grandmother's divine looks.

His eyes shined oceanic like his mother but it had gleamed the way his father's eyes would, -mysterious and piercing. His raven hair had grew long and silky. He held a divine and enticing aura around him but at the same time he had an approachable exterior.

-All together, he was a perfect mixture and inherited the best combination of his parents' traits.

Although, he was proclaimed to be ungifted with magic, he had a peculiar ability of seeing the unlikely. When he does this his eyes would change into a feverish rosy color, and turned like the duchess'.

From time to time, imaginary scenes would appear before him and even people he never met. Was this from the future perhaps? Anastasius didn't bother much about his ability, he is only five and he wanted to enjoy things of his age. But deep down he sure was excited of the news that were coming down later.

-

"Anastasius, your mother, the queen has finally gave birth, let's head back."

Nikolas called out for the nth time, now announcing the most awaited news for the young prince.

'Could it be Hermione? Deus, or maybe Leveka? '

Anastasius could only guess in his mind silently as he hummed happily on his way.

On the white mattress of the loyal bed, laid his mother-Ophelia. She was holding a little baby in her arms.

"Comere, love, what should we name her?" Ophelia, a little tired and pale held the little girl in her loving arms. Icarus sat there on her bed, letting his wife lean on his broad shoulder.

Looking at the baby before him, she was so tiny and fragile, with brown tiny locks as thin as threads.

"Leveka..." Anastasius answered, peering down quietly at her.

'...so Leveka is the first princess.'

Anastasius had shown imagery of her in his head, but there were two girls that he saw.

'...I guess Hermione isn't my sister then...or maybe in the future...'

He thought again. This time, Leveka's little fingers were all curled up on his forefinger. Overloaded with cuteness, Anastasius smiled at her happily, welcoming her in his mind and excited for the things they'll do.

'My little sister is another dark mage...'

Ophelia could only look at her two little angels in tears. Waves of happiness swept her mind at the moment blessed before her.

"Leveka, rest assured, you have a great future ahead..." She kissed her daughter's adorable forehead gently. At this Leveka let out a little cry as if she understood the heavy atmosphere. Her parents knew of her powers and destiny.

"Don't worry, we can raise her just fine, and she has a wise brother to protect her." Icarus voice sounded hopeful and heavy at the same time.

"I'll protect her and keep her from harm Ma and Papa! I give her my oath, it's a knight's oath." The bright Anastasius cheered in to lighten the atmosphere. At this, the royal family shared a warm filled long hug.

Anastasius felt rather obligated and strong towards their future. He knew it was his story and he had longed for it each day as he saw glimpses of what's ahead.

As time would flow, Leveka would only grow stronger and stronger. As if a strong spirit had been passed unto her. Her other half (light mage) has yet to appear, and Anastasius had vow to find her pair. Despite knowing his future, Anastasius had grew fond of the uncertain. He had doubted his ability time to time, although deep inside he knew he already have seen most of the things. But he choose to grow as a meek and humble noble, for it is only in the most uncertain and doubtful times, can one experience the miracles.

And with that, the peacefulness in the Kingdom carried on for years and years, stories and legends passed on to the next. A cycle of life, but better.
