8 The Second Wife

After cooling her heels for half an hour, a girl appeared to let them know that the actor won't be able to meet them today after all. He had a tweeter conversation planned and was busy at that. They might come back tomorrow if they wanted. She left the small group of disgruntled females to make their way to the nearby bar and restaurants.

Imogen turned to Idril. "What do you think we should do now? Slunk about till we catch a glimpse of him or return?"

"Not much point. If he really is at the twitter session , then he isn't going to be available." She frowned, "Can't believe I missed it." Quickly she accessed her twitter account from her mobile and navigated to the official profile of the show.

"Damn right." She exclaimed. "The two leads really are interacting to the fans. And it's happening right now. C'mon, let's go over to that bar. We can order something and sit in a corner to join in."

Perked up by the possibility to be able to talk to their favorite star, the two girls quickly headed towards the bar and before long was seated at a corner table, logged onto their respective twitter accounts , following the conversations avidly amid juicy comments and giggles.

"He isn't answering any of my tweets." Imogen said frustratingly. "What the hell?"

"What did you ask him?" Idril asked peering over her friend's mobile screen.

"Whether he dislikes anything about his character."

"Like he is going to answer that?" Idril rolled her eyes. "It'll be bad publicity I guess. Aren't celebrities supposed to say all good things about their characters? Even if it is a vicious serial killer they are playing?" Both of them snorted.

"Okay, now this one he has to answer. I doubt if he ever got such a query."

"What, what did you ask?" Imogen asked.

"Oh nothing. Just that if he knew how many children he is going to have?"

"What?" Imogen was confused. "How can the poor guy know? And what do you mean by children?" she was indignant. "I thought he was single."

"He is. In real life. But I was referring to his name." She went on to clarify seeing Imogen's bemused look. "You see, his name actually is Elvish. A JRR Tolkien character. And that character had wives and children."

"Wives?"

"Yes, two. The second one gave him seven."

"Seven? My! Better hope he doesn't live up to his name." Imogen muttered and they both broke into helpless giggles.

"Oh look, he has replied to your tweet, Idril." They bent over her mobile. "This should be interesting."

Now it was Idril's turn to gasp. "Oh my! He actually knows his stuff. He says Seven."

"Considering he has such an unusual name, I guess he would naturally have found out all about it." Imogen replied. "Reply to him." she instructed.

"Okay, what do I write?" Her lower lip caught between her teeth, she typed, " Hope you find your Nerdanel soon."

"The second wife, I assume?" Imogen guessed.

"Right." Idril confirmed. "Oh he says thanks." She watched for several minutes more to see if there was any other replies but sadly there weren't. So they paid their bills and left planning to come down tomorrow again.

Idril slammed the car door, hastily arranging the shawl over her outfit and grabbing Imogen's hands headed towards the crowd which had gathered to watch the shooting. They had been wrapping up the shooting and there had been many last minute extra scene to be shot. That had kept her very busy and she hadn't been able to spare time for her autograph hunting for a week. She hoped she met Feanor today. It was her last chance. They had their return flight in four days.

The shooting was being held in the open field in the backward of the studio. Idril and Imogen wormed their way through the throng of the people and managed to reach the front. Some kind of horse riding session was going on. Her gaze swept the ensemble. He didn't appear to be present. Imogen asked one of the spectators about whether the leads were going to show up but no one appeared to know. After fifteen minutes of watching, they were wondering if they should try going inside the studio to see if they had any luck when Feanor arrived on the scene atop a horse. He was garbed fully in the Highland mode, white shirt, kilt, sporran and dirk.
