35 The Hill

Sergio noticed Liu Kai who looked strange and was already floating to the water surface.

He went to the surface, too, and met him. Sergio took a quick look at him, and he said, "Let's do it again, our combo earlier," Sergio touched his back shoulder.

But Liu Kai ignored him and darted around to look for the giant fishing spider.

More strength emerged within Liu Kai and rapidly fuelled his numb body. His skin shone crimson red with sparkling veins extending from his chest to every limb to his head. The white part of his eyes, bloodshot from the power in his Berserk state, and he slowly turned his head to look at Sergio.

The moment Sergio saw Liu Kai's crimson red eyes, he froze on his feet as if he's facing a monster. Liu Kai exhaled slowly, cracking a grin.

Liu Kai dove to charge at the giant fishing spider underwater and started pounding it with powerful attacks while Jin Chow was still holding it down.

The giant fishing spider was unbothered by the series of attacks because, in fact, its thick exoskeleton shielded it from the vicious attacks of Liu Kai. It could also breathe underwater and not drown, but Jin Chow was unaware of this fact.

"Tsk! I'll do it myself!" Since Liu Kai ignored Sergio's plan, he instead searched for a building from which he could climb on to jump higher.

Liu Kai anchored himself to the head of the giant fishing spider and repeatedly pounded it. His attacks, though, proved to be ineffective, and at the same time, Jin Chow's 'Indestructible' was about to expire.

"Liu Kai, what are you doing!?" You should be with Sergio getting ready to combo attack this thing!" Jin Chow complained as he felt his skill wearing off. But Liu Kai is underwater, not hearing him.

Sergio Von Croy sprinted to the top of a tall building and jumped as high as he could. He saw Jin Chow and Liu Kai with the giant fishing spider but didn't care at all. If he did, he might miss his target.

Once reaching the apex height of his jump, he activated his skill 'Descend' and plummeted like a falling meteor from the sky. He continuously rolled his body to gain more momentum and kicked the giant fishing spider's head with a great impact.

KUOOOH!!! The spider's eight eyes continued to spin on its socket as it sank deeper underwater.

AAGGGHH!!! Both Liu Kai and Jin Chow were pushed back by the impact.

Jin Chow's 'Indestructible' ended after the impact and suffered no injury. Liu Kai is tough enough not to be harmed too.

The spider didn't get any critical damage as well, even from taking a direct hit from Sergio's attack. It just swam to the surface and tried to brush it off like it was nothing, but it got dizzy and couldn't stand straight on the water.

"HAHAHAHAHA!!!" Liu Kai smiled from ear to ear after he laughed, interested by the insect that was not only alive but was barely hurt. Jin Chow and Sergio's expression hardened after seeing what Liu Kai saw.

Liu Kai stands on top of a floating plant with more power rushing to his body, sending him into ecstasy. He laughed like a madman and dashed forward to attack the gigantic arachnid.

He activated skills inside his head.

[Activate Concentrated Breathing and Probability]

[Concentrated Breathing cannot be activated while Breathing Technique is deactivated]

[Probability is activated]

-Probability's Die(Dice) rolled and resulted in number 4

Power will multiply by 4.

Liu Kai ignored the negative message as he felt another burst of power, multiplied by his skill, on his body. He transferred it to his right foot and kicked the head of the giant fishing spider, sinking it into the water once more. Unable to react to Liu Kai's speed, it was helplessly disoriented underwater. Liu Kai, on the other hand, landed on another pad and laughed again as if everything was going on was funny.

"How is that possible?" Sergio was surprised at what he had seen. Liu Kai's kick had almost the same destructive force, without any sort of preparation or delay. He tapped Jin Chow, who just saw Liu Kai handling the giant fishing spider, alone.

"Hey Chow, was Liu Kai always like that?" Sergio asked, confused about Liu Kai's power.

"What do you mean?" Jin Chow responded as he stood up.

"Was he always that strong, viscous, and crazy?"

"He is when his power is getting the most out of him. He tormented an A-Rated Giant Wasp and was planning to torture it before killing it if I didn't stop him." Jin Chow explained.

"HE WHAT?" Sergio couldn't believe what he just heard.

Because they were so engaged in the fight, they didn't realize that they were close to the edge of Fang Shi.

Simultaneously, the giant fishing spider snapped out of its confusion and started to fight back.

"I knew that wasn't enough to take you down! HAHAHA! Let's do this!! HAHAHA!" Liu Kai shouted while laughing maniacally.

The giant fishing spider appeared in front of Liu Kai, aiming to pierce him with its spear-like leg, and Liu Kai, who wasn't thinking clearly, got hit by the attack. His body was durable enough not to be pierced but still flew back from the impact and ended up landing across the next country.

Jin Chow and Sergio Von Croy looked at each other, got an idea from what just happened, and activated his skill 'Indestructible' for the last time of the day. They both planned to get on the same hill as Liu Kai by getting hit by the Spider. However, Sergio wasn't sure if he could take a hit like that and survive. He wasn't as sturdy as Jin Chow or even Liu Kai.

"Just grab on my back so you won't need to receive an attack like that, you might get killed if you try." Jin Chow confidently stated as if reading Sergio's mind.

"Alright." Sergio Von Croy said as he grabbed on. He smiled as he remembered he has reliable comrades.

As soon as Sergio securely grabbed on Jin Chow's back, they charged forward while yelling to get its attention.

"Hey! Is that the best you can do! You can't take us both, you stupid inse—Woooh!" Jin Chow got cut off as the Giant Spider whacked him like a baseball and sent both of them flying, landing on the same hill as Liu Kai.

"We made it! HAHAHAHA! Whooo!" Jin Chow celebrated after they both rolled over the ground multiple times. He ran around in circles as Sergio casually got up from the ground.

"YOU DAMNED PEST!!!"

They saw Liu Kai filled with rage from being blasted away and tried to jump back there to fight again, but Sergio Von Croy and Jin Chow stopped him.

"Hey, you need to stop! Control yourself, please!" Jin Chow and Sergio both pulled him back while he was trying to walk closer to the hill's edge.

But as he was warning Liu Kai, the Giant Fishing Spider climbed up the hill, following them to the next country to hunt them down.
