They decided to re-enter Fang Shi.

"Let's kick his butt this time." Liu Kai said on top of the building, stretching his right arm to his left side using his left hand. Jin Chow is standing on his left, half-naked, crackling his fist.

They moved with serious caution now than before, anticipating an assault at any moment, mainly from above.

Jin Chow can't help shaking while he's moving, now that he doesn't have the armor to protect him.

"I'll surely die if that person hit me again." He said, following Liu Kai entered one of the skyscrapers, avoiding aerial attacks.

They use the vines to switch from an empty building to another like Tarzan to lessen the time they're vulnerable for an assault. They plan to avoid engaging the attacker, if necessary, to travel safely out of Fang Shi. And so far, they're going forward without being targeted.

"It seems that he didn't notice us this time." Jin Chow whispered while tailing Liu Kai inside the building, walking fast but minimizing the footsteps.

"We're not sure about that." Liu Kai whispered without looking at him.

"Do you think our enemy is just one?" Jin Chow asked.

"Shhhh!" Liu Kai ordered as he docked and crawled to the floor

"I hear noises. Hide quickly!" Liu Kai added after hiding to a wall.

If they're going to have to confront an opponent, he's not sure if he will pick a giant insect or a strong opponent that attacked them yesterday. Regardless, they are both monsters.

'Maybe it depends on the insect. We should be thankful that most bugs are alone and will kill each other if they meet, even if they are in the same family. But... What if there's an entire colony of giant insects?' Liu Kai thought to himself.

'Nope, let's not think about that now.' He said to himself.

'It started.' Liu Kai thought to himself, realizing that they were noticed after the attack landed on their building.

"So, you didn't learn your lesson yesterday." A voice of a man came out from the smoke, walking towards them.

He's wearing a falcon mask and a hooded cloak that hides his body.

"Who are you? Why are you attacking us?" Jin Chow stood up, trying to talk it out.

"No humans are supposed to be here. Go back if you still want to live." The masked man told them with a bossy tone.

"You are not in the right place to say that. I am Jin Chow, a Knight of the fourth squad, and was assigned to investigate this place by the Monarchy." Jin Chow proudly said while raising his knight medallion.

"I don't care. If you want to live, go back to the human territories." The masked man stopped walking and kept his distance.

Liu Kai already cut his wrist using a broken glass that he saw on the floor to inflict damage.

"I have a lot of questions, answer me if you want to live." Liu Kai fiercely walked in and approached the Masked Man.

"No, let me handle this." Jin Chow said, but Liu Kai disregarded him.

"Ohh, you are acting tough just because of gaining a bit of strength?" The Masked Man replied to Liu Kai arrogantly.

Still, Liu Kai and the Masked Man face each other from a very close distance.

Jin Chow intended to speak some sense to the masked man, but Liu Kai did it again.

The masked man punched Liu Kai on the face, but...

Liu Kai remained on his feet. He spat some blood before he tilted his head back to look directly at the masked man.

"Hahahaha, you're tougher than I imagined." The masked man smiled at him.

"You're cockier than I thought." Liu Kai replied while glaring at him.

The masked man sensed an abnormal power from Liu Kai's right arm and fixed his gaze on it.

'You're in trouble.' Jin Chow thought to himself while observing them.

Liu Kai''s perception worked in a close distance, and he felt the masked man bothered after looking at his arm.

'I'm in danger.' The masked man thought to himself.

Yet the Masked Man didn't run, or maybe he didn't have time to run. Liu Kai squeezed his fist and struck the mask.

The masked man flew over and hit his back against the wall. His mask shattered and fell to the ground bit by bit, revealing his face.

Liu Kai marched towards the guy and grabbed his coat to get him up.

"Who are you?" asked Liu Kai.

The man stared at Liu Kai's shining eyes and was scared to react. He can feel all the hairs on his body rising, gazing at the red eyes of Liu Kai.

'Heh, I know the feeling.' Jin Chow thought to himself, recalling the first time he saw Liu Kai use his ability.'

"Answer me if you want to live." Liu Kai pinned the man to the wall.

Jin Chow came forward to identify the man, and to his shock, he saw a familiar face.

"You! You're still alive?" Jin Chow's eyes are wide open, fixed to the man's face.

Instantly, the guy regretted talking to them. He kicked Liu Kai in the waist and leaped too far. He turned back to search them while in the air, but he saw only Jin Chow standing alone.

"Huh? Where's the other guy?" The man asked himself, still in the air, at the apex of his jump.

The man closed his eyes to focus and tried to locate Liu Kai while in the air, and to his surprise, he sensed Liu Kai so close to him.

"I knew you would do that." Liu Kai appeared behind the man.

Before the man could turn his head, Liu Kai returned the favor and kicked him back to the floor.

"Do you think I'll let you escape so easily?" Liu Kai queried after landing on the rooftop terrace.

"Tsk!" The man took a step back and jumped again to avoid them, but...

Before he could get on top, Liu Kai appeared in front of him and kicked him back to the floor.

"Your ability has something to do with heights, right? Sorry, it won't work." Liu Kai declared after he landed on the floor.

Cold blood fell from the man's nose lying on the floor.

"Sergio Von Croy...."

"...Also known as The Falcon. What are you doing here?" Jin Chow approached Sergio Von Croy, trembling on the ground.

Liu Kai narrowed his eyes and gave Jin Chow a confused look, seeing him assisting Sergio Von Croy to stand up.

"Sergio Von Croy, the strongest knight in Second Squad of the Xennog's Monarchy, you were reported as missing and considered dead after not going back to the Monarchy for over three months." Jin Chow said as he picked him up to stand up.

"How do you know me?" Sergio Von Croy looked at Jin Chow's face, trying to know him.

"I already informed you earlier. I am Jin Chow, a Knight, and the only survivor of the Fourth Squad." Jin Chow answered.

Sergio Von Croy took a deep breath before he removed his hoodie and sat on the ground.

"Go on and ask, what do you want to know?" Sergio Von Croy looked at Liu Kai standing a few meters away.

Jin Chow looked at Liu Kai, not answering, so he asked, "What happened to you and your squad?" Jin Chow sat on Sergio's side.

"The same thing that happened to you." Sergio Von Croy answered casually, glaring back at Liu Kai.

'Are they having an eye to eye contest?' Jin Chow spoke to himself.

"By the way, who is this guy?" Sergio Von Croy pointed his finger to Liu Kai.

"We're the one asking questions, don't you dare to ask again." Liu Kai answered for Jin Chow.

"What's your skill?" Liu Kai asked him while coming closer to show his authority.

"I thought you already knew about it." Sergio Von Croy looked away before he answered with a sarcastic tone.

Liu Kai clenched his fist, and Sergio Von Croy prepared to jump at any moment.

"HEY! Enough fighting. Can we just talk?" Jin Chow rolled his eyes and thought, 'These arrogant people.'

"It's 'descend' if I recall it correctly. Is that right?" Jin Chow answered Liu Kai's question, and Liu Kai got irritated about it.

"I'm still famous, I see." Sergio Von Croy laughed after he answered.

"Don't answer for him." Liu Kai glared at Jin Chow, and he froze a bit from Liu Kai's gazes.

"Explain your skill." Liu Kai mandated.

"To perform my skill, I need to be in the air. The larger the distance from my target, the stronger my kicks would be." Sergio Von Croy answered.

"And after you attack, you're using the smoke as a cover to prepare another attack. Is that right?" Liu Kai exposed his secret.

"Yeah." Sergio Von Croy looked away before answering bashfully. 'He realized it. He's quick-witted.' Sergio Von Croy thought to himself.

'So that's why there is a delay from his attacks. He's taking his time to jump as high as he can to maximize the effect of his skill.' Liu Kai thought to himself.

"How are you alive? And what are you doing staying at this place?" Liu Kai continued his questions.

"That..." Sergio Von Croy doesn't want to answer and is thinking of a way out.

"Answer me!!" Liu Kai yelled at him.

"Alright, alright, please don't shout at me." Sergio Von Croy calmly said.

"My Squad, the Second Squad, were able to step on this place with no casualty. I am the Squad Leader, and I thought everything would run smoothly since everything is going to our plan. But just like the both of you, after we stepped on this place, our senses halted."

"My squad members don't want to continue our investigation anymore since it's dangerous to proceed with perception not working. But as the Squad Leader, I force all of them to continue our mission."

"We slowed down to be more cautious, and after a while, we're attacked by a giant insect. We pulverized a lot of giant bugs with our coordinated attacks before we got here. I am confident about our squad. But here on the swamp, we are at the insect's mercy, and they all died." Sergio Von Croy explained.

"That's not the entire story." Liu Kai held his cloak and pulled him upwards in the air.

Sergio Von Croy took deep breaths before he answered, "Alright, put me down. I'll tell you what happened." Liu Kai put him down, and they all sat on the chairs inside the skyscraper.
