Targeting the One

The feeling of being touched by a wet cold hand and the sound of a boy whimpering... Then a gentle, comforting voice of a woman, who seemed to be wearing a bloodstained royal outfit but her words are not clear, everything seemed blurry along with her vague words.....

"-to retrieve it....stone has to-..."

Evi's eyes snapped open at the sound of the alarm before she could finish her sentence. She was covered in a cold sweat, shaking and her heart was pounding. She looked around the room suspiciously and paranoid as the sorrow followed her there.

"Again this nightmare... Agh!! I feel like I didn't sleep at all,"

she looked outside the window while the sunlight touched her bluish-purple eyes. Her eye colour is different from Normal people as well as her condition.

"Morning dad! You're going to work early today?" Evi said while walking downstairs.

A man in a police dress with black and grey hair turned to her with a smile, "Morning! Yes, dear... there are some cases! I made breakfast. Eat with me, come" Her dad, Mr Grison said.

While biting the soft pancake the file on the table caught Evi's eyes.

"What's this? Wait- this helmet guy...Black krey? Wasn't he a motorbike thief or something? He's not captured yet??"

"No! He's one tough guy! He was stealing but this time it's a murder case, This is going to be hard....he just disappears. getting the sight of him is rare!" Mr Grison shook his head.

"Then how'd you know He's the murderer?" Evi said while she fixed her black-framed glasses.

"We're not sure yet but He's the only one who matches the witness's description. Ah! I have to go now! Should I send Ash to drop you off at Uni?" He said while walking towards the door.

"No, dad I'll go alone. Take care, dad!" Evi smiled while waving her hand.

"Eat your meals in time and watch out ok? Keep the garage locked You have a motorbike too," Mr Grison said with a cautious smile.

"Yes, dad don't worry. Bye," She watched her dad leave.

"...And he's gone! You heard right? We have things to do tonight." Evi said while touching her glasses.

"Roger! Captain Tara" She could hear the static giggling sounds from the replaceable tiny microphone attached to her glasses, which is connected with her 3 friends. She's been helping her dad in different cases secretly. since she had a dream to work for the detective division but her dad refused it cause it could be dangerous. He wants her daughter to spend a normal decent life. So she didn't make a fuss over it, instead started to help her dad out in secret, using her 3 friends as best backup partners.

"Hey! Shin contact the other two They're not on the line! I'll come over to your place after passing the files and you gather the information. Krey is the next target...I don't have to explain further right?" Evi spoke in an ethereal tone.

"Nope! I'm on it..meet you at night" The deep static voice spoke through the microphone.

"I can't focus, why is time so slow today?" She looked at the watch while shaking her leg in a hurried expression.

After classes -

"Finally!! But I'm late" she started running!

Evi removed the microphone from the glass and placed it on her helmet!

"Cryptos...Hello?!....SHINNN!!"

She heard a loud crashing sound until he spoke, yes yes I'm in I mean Caesar shift... Where are you? get to the office quickly! it's clear now! hurry!"

"I'm on my way" She swung her leg to get on top of the motorbike and started the engine.

"Then I'll count on you, Shin!" Right after finishing her sentence, she rolled her motorbike at a high speed.

The huge office building seemed quiet. Evi hid behind the bush

"I'm near the back entrance. clear right?"

"Yea this side's clear go to the 2nd floor, you'll see a laptop in the right corner. All the details about krey are probably there and place the previous files on the 3rd desk" (Shin)

"Easy for you to say. What about the police workers? You sure dad's not here today?" Evi whispered.

"There's none today. They're busy with the investigation and the rest are on the 4th and 1st floor" (Shin)

Using the dynamic Evi climbed to the 2nd floor, and walked towards the 3rd desk.

"Hey! I placed the previous files but where's the laptop? Shit..! There's a surveillance Camera!" She instantly got behind the desk.

"Don't worry I've taken care of them. check the right corner" Shin chuckled.

"I found the laptop. They didn't even put on a password" She inserted a pen-drive and copied all the information and documents!! "Done!"

"Welp, good work! Now come over to my place" (Shin)

"And...that 'path' is clear too right?" She opened her hood and placed her leg on the window.

"Yes I just checked a while ago. All clear...just hurry up" (Shin)

"Kay!! Save some snacks for me!" She jumped off the building as her long red hair twirled in the air like blazing flames...
