15 Chapter 14

'May I introduce our new classmate Noelle Ching from Hong Kong. Please sit next to Miss Davis, please?' The teacher, Professor Robertson instructed during class.

Noelle settled down next to her friend Olivia. 'Is Brookly—' 'No, Noelle. She isn't. She's in the next class, you see.' Noelle nodded and intently, listened to the teacher.

During break, Noelle texted her sister about Brooklyn. 'Hi, Noelle. You seemed very worried about Brooklyn. Did you happen to know her?' 'Yes! I studied in the same school as her younger sister, so we are pretty good friends. Also, my younger sister studies in the same school as her, so we're all connected together, you can say that.' 'Noelle, I found something very strange and different about Brooklyn. If you come from Hong Kong, you should know.' Olivia requested. 'Okay, what?'

'She, well, hides knives in her room. She told me it's a Chinese practice to keep them in her room. But those long, sharp ones bought in Walmart. Noelle, is it true?' Olivia told her. 'What?? Nah, fake. But... Do you know what knives she put in her room?' Noelle asked. 'Yea! A—' 'Okay, okay. Geez. We will go to Walmart tomorrow and we will buy the SAME knives. You will replace the ones in her room with the new ones we've bought. Then, give the knives to me. I will hand them to the police.' Noelle instructed. 'But, why?' Olivia questioned. 'That will solve a huge case in Hong Kong. Don't tell anyone, but I'm actually working with the Hong Kong police force, CID section. We suspect Brooklyn to have murdered one person and kidnapped the other.'

Olivia didn't very understand what Noelle said, but she, along with her friend, bought some knives from Walmart the next day.

'These are the three knives she loved to keep.' Olivia said. 'I saw her snuggling them back to Hong Kong. I wonder why the police hasn'—' 'I know. She went back to Hong Kong by private jet. She didn't need checking, then. Wait, I'll call the police.'

'Nat Nat, I found the murder weapon already. Please get police to come to Manhattan Country School in New York. Thanks,' Noelle said. '好耶 (Hooray)!!!! The murderer will be caught soon!!! Onee-chan's the best!!!!' Natalie cheered. 'Eh? Really? Then we'll head to New York as well. Nat, pack your things. We'll set to New York with the police force. Good luck in your interview, then. Luna and I are waiting for you to come back and do the live together!' Emily grinned and told her senior.

The phone went off. Noelle smiled. 'Now, back to homework. Let's do exercise 11 together, shall we?' Olivia grinned back and nodded.

IN HONG KONG THOUGH...

'Okay. What have I missed. A dress, a pair of jeans, a pair of sunglasses—' 'SHUT UP WILL YOU??' Edward was a bit cross since he wasn't the one who found the murderer and the weapon. 'I've finished!' Emily set a huge, ginormous backpack on the chair. 'Nat's even got servants to help us. One for me and one for Nat, then.' Emily said. 'SHUT UP!' 'Alright...'

The Hong Kong Police Force helicopters arrived in New York City while the girls are still sleeping. They were woken up by the police and they immediately start going to Manhattan Country School.

It was a Sunday afternoon when the girls arrived with the members of the CID Department and Edward, and Noelle Ching was studying in the study room with her new friend Olivia Davis. 'Onee-chan!!! Onee-chan!!!!' Natalie said excitedly and hugged her elder sister. 'Noelle, can you please show us where Brooklyn is?' Edward asked, while the girls are busy hugging each other. 'Sure! I'm Olivia. Just follow me.' The girl next to Noelle offered and the bunch of people followed Oliva, went up to the topmost floor of the school. 'This is where she likes to hangout with me. Look, she's over there!' Olivia told them.

A massive amount of students were curious about what happened and they went up to the rooftop of the school.

'Brooklyn Chang! You are the murderer of Jessalyn Li and the planner for Luna Wang's kidnap, are you not?' Officer Wong took charge of the situation.

The students gasped. 'Brooklyn's about to become the head of the student council. How can she do this?'

'Right. You guys found me, after all.' The figure turned around, revealing a young woman with black hair, black eyes and a witch-like expression. 'Jessalyn deserved to die!! That thing, thinking she's the queen of the universe, getting all mum and dad's attention. She's a total brat, an idiot and a fu**ing bi**h!! You can arrest me!!! I don't care!!!!' She said, then laughed evilly.

'Get her back to base!!' Officer Wong ordered. The police put Brooklyn in handcuffs, and got her on the helicopter.

The girls embraced and hugged each other. 'We did it!!! We solved the mystery!!! Yay!!!!!!' Emily and Natalie cheered. 'Good work!' Edward said and the trio did a fist bump. 'Congratulations, everyone. Thanks for solving the murder. Hoping to see you back in Hong Kong.' Noelle said in Cantonese, then shook hands with Emily and Edward, and hugged her younger sister. Olivia giggled, then looked at her new friend.

'Good work, everyone. You all sure showed the talent of becoming a professional CID. Congratulations.' Officer Wong told the kids. 'Thanks a lot, Officer Wong.' They replied, with gratitude.

'Now, let us sleep. We'll check out Brooklyn's confession when we get back to Hong Kong.' Edward suggested. 'Okie. Good night, then.' Natalie called. 'Night.' Emily answered,

and the trio settled off to dreamland...
