Lunch Interrogation

Wednesday afternoon, Fan MeiLi got off work early and went to the airport. As soon as the doors opened, it wasn't long until Fan MeiLi heard a sing-song voice. "MeiLi, darling. I'm so happy to see you." Jenny Young said giving Fan MeiLi a hug.

"I'm glad you're back as well. Come on, let's get you home, you must be tired after doing a huge show." Fan MeiLi said taking her bags.

As they got into the taxi, Jenny Young didn't wait long before she started telling FanMeiLi all about her travels. By they got uptown and to Jenny's penthouse, Fan MeiLi learned all about her travels, hook-ups, and her drunken nights where she created some of her best work. When the car parked, Fan MeiLi could only laugh at her stories because it felt like she was right next to Jenny when she had all those adventures.

Zhang Jing came over and the three started to drink wine and catch up with each other. During one part of the night, Fan MeiLi mention her lunch with Li Wei's mother. When her two best friends heard her story they were more excited they were about the whole situation.

"MeiLi darling, I have the perfect outfit for you. I'm sure you'll impress your future mother-in-law." Jenny said pulling Fan MeiLi to her feet. Zhang Jing also jumped up in happiness, "Yay! Let's have a fashion show, I always love dressing up MeiLi" She said with a bright smile.

Fan MeiLi didn't even bother to refuse the two knowing that it was pointless when faced with her two besties strong personalities. "Just make me look elegant and sweet, I really need her to like me. Also, she is not my mother-in-law, I'm only dating her son with no thoughts of marriage right now." She said getting to her feet.

For the rest of the night, Fan MeiLi was just let Zhang Jing and Jenny Young use her as a dressing doll.

La Flux

(Friday Afternoon)

Fan MeiLi entered the restaurant wearing a pink YQ dress and one of Jenny's more elegant jewelry design. She was lead to a table and waited for Madam Li to arrive, all while trying to keep her nerves under check.

Hearing a ding on her phone she saw a text from Li Wei, [I'm sure you'll do fine but remember you need to succeed and make my mother like you.] It said.

Letting out a sigh, I hoped I succeeded as well and could get back on my path to having a nice peaceful life. Just as I was thinking that thought, I saw a blue dress coming my way which grabbed my full attention. Seeing Madam Li I got up with a smile but was a little shocked when I saw Li Na following close behind.

"Fan MeiLi, it's so nice to meet you. I'm so happy that you agreed to have lunch with me. My daughter wanted to meet you as well and I couldn't say no, I hope you don't mind." Madam Li said sitting down

Sitting down as well I just gave them both a smile, "I don't mind a bit, it's nice to meet you again, Miss Li." Fan MeiLi said with a smile. Li Na just gave her a smile and didn't say anything as she sat down next to her mother.

After we order our food, Madam Li didn't wait until she started her questioning about Fan MeiLi's relationship with Li Wei. "So tell me, dear, when did you start dating my son. I love my son but he always been hard to get emotions across especially when it comes to females and dating.

"Yes, I'm curious as well. Mainly, because the last time I saw you, you were working as my bother's assistance." Li Na said tilting her head.

"Really? Now, I'm really more curious about how the two of you got into a relationship." Madam Li said with sparkly eyes.

Fan MeiLi looked at the two and smiled, "If I need to be honest with you, I didn't like your son at first but after so many different encounters he started to warm my heart." She said in a calm voice.

"Oh, who was the one that asked the other out first?" Li Na said leaning in.

"CEO Li was the one who started to court me first like I said before our first meeting didn't go well. I had a certain image in my mind about him one that differs from the opinions of the public." Fan MeiLi said in a low voice hoping not to offend Li Wei's family.

Li Na narrowed her eyes and gave Fan MeiLi a hard stare before breaking out in a loud laugh, startling both Fan MeiLi and Madam Li. "Sorry for laughing but playing the tough sister is just not my cup of tea. You seem like a nice lady but I had to see if you were being truthful in this relationship with my brother. As you could tell from my grandfather's banquet then you could tell that Li Wei attracts many types of ladies." Li Na said trying to get her laughs under check.

Fan MeiLi shook her head and just gave Li Na a sweet smile that expressed that she didn't take any words to heart. After our food came, the three ladies started to have a pleasant conversation and they were growing more fond of the other parties.

Just as the group was done with their meals and drinking tea, Fan MeiLi heard a small laugh and saw pink heels in her rear vision.
