A Strange One
Evan Livares slowly put down the towel that he used to wipe his hair. As concern washed through him, he promptly put the phone closer to his ear. "Aviana, are you alright?"
"Why are you asking me that?" Aviana Valos asked him back from the other line. In contrast to her tone before, she sounded a bit cheerful but Evan Livares didn't buy it.
He was convinced that something was wrong with her.
"Where are you?" He asked, ignoring her question just like she did. He helplessly shut his eyes when he heard her 'fake' giggle.
"Why? If I tell you, will you come?"
Her tone made her words sound like a challenge but Evan was already too worried. He didn't even have to think twice, especially about the possibility of his feelings being revealed. "Yes," he uttered, impatiently. "Tell me where you are."
