108 A Distant Past

A new week had started when Daniel Valos went to see Enea Morelli in the penthouse once again. Though the Chairman of Valos Group went there after thinking it over a thousand times, he still felt like he wasn't sure.

Maybe he still felt reluctant to create a connection with the Don whom he always wished to avoid.

"You come here much late than I expected but it also seems like you are still in a haze," Enea Morelli pointed out when he observed Daniel Valos. "Are you really here because you made up your mind?"

Trying to brush his troubled thoughts off his mind, Daniel Valos looked at the Don. "If it was solely up to me, I will do anything to find another way and not you," he frankly said. "However, my daughter feels the same way about your son and I can't ignore her opinion for the second time." He briefly paused and said, "You are also a father, Mr. Morelli. You will understand how I feel."
