6 Ungrateful Alvin
Soon after that,Angie left the room finally granting China the opportunity to do her job. After she was done,it was straight to the kitchen to prepare lunch which consisted of muffins and coffee.
She took the lunch to each of their rooms because she knew the whole family was snobbish and liked to be treated specially.
She gave the lunch to Angie and she was grateful for a change and then it was time to give Alvin his. She felt her stomach tighten as the thought of having to face him again scared her.
Never the less,she knocked on the door and went in. He was in only a towel. She quickly dropped the tray and was about to leave quietly when he called her.
"Wait! Pick out the laundry and iron my clothes." He ordered. "Can't you be a little nice about it." She said in a whisper but he heard it.
"No. I'll never be nice to someone like you,you're a maid and I hate you more than you know." He said bitterly as he ate a muffin.
China just sighed and picked up the laundry, she knew talking to him was a waste of time because there was pure hatred deeply rooted in his heart for her.
As she was about leaving, she heard coughing and turned back to see that Alvin was coughing, gagging and had watery eyes.
She immediately knew what was happening, he was choking. Although it served him right for being so rude and mean to her,she couldn't stand by and watch someone suffer or in pain.
She immediately rushed to the kitchen to get some water. He drank water but that didn't seem to help and then her doctor instincts kicked in.
She immediately performed a Heimlich Maneuver and although it was really difficult because he was way muscular and bigger than her,it worked and the food went down.
"Are you OK?" She asked concerned once she saw he had calmed down. "I'm fine,you can leave" He said sharply.
"You know you're being a total jerk,not even a thank you and I just saved your life." China was furious.
"Fine! Thank you! I've said but that's all you're getting from me,you must have planned this so I would reward you. But just know, I won't take anymore of your wicked schemes." Alvin warned shocking China.
"How can you say I planned this?" China asked bewildered.
"You must have put something in the muffins or how else would you have known exactly what to do?" He asked the hate clear in his voice.
"I knew because I paid attention in class,I was on the way to becoming a very successful doctor until your family came into the picture and ruined everything for me. I should be the angry one and not you. You know what,you and your entire family are crazy and I'm sick and tired of your foolish accusations. It seems you can't tell the difference between good and bad but it's not your fault, I blame myself for caring. I should have just let you choke to death, then at least one of my problems would have been gone." She blurted out almost at the verge of tears.
"Just stop all this drama now,you're still in our house and you don't have the right to talk like that." He said not even sparing her a glance.
"Oh you think this is drama. I'm sorry, I forgot I was talking to a heartless person. I have other chores to attend to rather than waste my time exchanging words with you. Excuse me." China said and left,banging the door behind her.
