It had happened three years ago.
China had been born prematurely due to some complications, so one of her kidneys hadn't developed properly and that had caused major problems.
It was actually a miracle that she stayed alive but as she grew up,hospitals became a second home to the poor child. A lot of money was spent but when she was thirteen, the doctor requested a kidney transplant because the underdeveloped kidney was starting to rupture and if it wasn't removed, it would be the death of China.
Her mother ran helther skelther searching for a donor but she couldn't find one. Her father was busy with his mistress and her daughter and couldn't care less whether China lived or died.
When a donor couldn't be found, China's mother, Mila made the big decision to give one of her kidneys to her only child.
The operation turned out successful and both were recuperating but unexpectedly, Mila started jerking hours after the operation and she died.
It was found out,one of her organs had been mistakenly punctured and she died of internal bleeding. That was how China lost her mother, the most important person in her life.
After Mila's death and China's discharge from the hospital, her father brought his mistress, Trisha and her daughter, Anna to the house.
They all started maltreating her and turned her into a maid. Tears fell down China's face as she woke from her reverie.
She finished her bath quickly and put on some clothes. She then took the cleaning equipments and went to the room she was told to clean.
The room was in a complete mess,clothes littered all over the floor and bed,there were books everywhere and leftovers of junk foods.
The room stank badly and she couldn't help but wonder if it was really a human or a pig that lived in the room.
She went about packing the clothes into the laundry basket and disposing of all the pieces of papers and junk. She arranged the books neatly in a cupboard and vacuumed the floor. After which she moped it clean.
After she was done, a smile lit her pretty face as she mentally commended herself for a job well done.
Just then, a guy entered the room and all his attention was focused on his phone, he had no idea the floor was wet and as China tried to warn him,he slipped and bumped into her,both falling on the bed,him on her.
Their eyes interlocked and she could feel some familiarity, she felt she had met him somewhere. A mischievous grin appeared on his face.
"You must be China Anderson, the new maid." He said getting off her.
"Yes." She replied and saw his outstretched hand, he wanted to help her up.
She took his hand and half way up,he let go of her hand and she fell back on the bed vigorously, hurting her back.
"Ouch!"She cried.
" Did that hurt? That's nothing compared to what you'll be made to go through in this house. You and your wretched family plotted to exploit us by deceiving my brother and making him elope with your slutty sister. You'll have to suffer alot for that mistake and I'll personally punish you. You'll feel like the most hated person when I'm through with you. You disgust me!"He said through gritted teeth.
China was left stunned as she starred at this handsome stranger.
