4 Don't Stare

China kept starring at him,at a loss of words. He went on insulting her and her family but her attention was on something else. His eyes looked really familiar and on impulse, she stretched out her hand and pulled down the collar of his jacket, exposing his neck to her.

There was a scar on his neck and then it dawned on her, how she knew him.

During one of her numerous visits to the hospital, she had met a boy who was also admitted into the same hospital.

They happened to share a room and the cute boy of about thirteen then had a bandage on his neck. There had been an attempt on his life but the police caught the culprits and he was quickly rushed to the hospital. Luckily, it wasn't a deep cut.

His father was a big politician then contesting for the post of minister so the attack would definitely have come from his rival. He said his name was Alvin.

Sharing the same room then, they became fast friends and shared their thoughts with each other. She had been twelve then and she could have proudly said that Alvin was her first and only crush.

It had been really sad for her when he had been discharged, she cried and to remember him by,he gave her a necklace.

"What are you doing? Are you trying to seduce me or something?" He asked angrily as her hand was on his neck and touched the scar.

She clicked back to reality and realized her hand was still on his neck caressing it softly, she removed it. "I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to seduce you, I wouldn't dare. It's just that I feel that I know you from somewhere so I was just checking if my suspicion was correct and turns out I was right." She told him gently.

"What the hell are you yapping about?" He asked her harshly.

"Your scar,I recognise it. You were admitted into Maryland Hospital when you were thirteen due to an attempt on your life..." She tried to explain but he cut in.

"How do you know that? Are you a witch?"

"No. I'm not a witch, I was in that same hospital. In fact we shared the same room and when you were being discharged, you gave me this necklace as a sign of our friendship." She said bringing out the beautiful necklace on her necklace that was hidden away in her maid dress.

Alvin starred at the necklace intensely and he recognized it, he smiled remembering the girl at the hospital. He never really got over her. Although he had had series of girlfriends, he really hoped he could meet that girl again, she was his first crush.

He remembered her face but couldn't remember her name.

"I don't believe you, you're from a very cheap family, all you people do is lie and cheat people for money, that's it." He told her sternly the smile disappearing from his face.

"But the evidence is right in front of you." China tried to convince. "This is not enough proof. You could have just browsed and asked around about my accident and you could have also made a fake necklace. You're doing all this just to try to seduce me, so stop this act it won't work." He said, got up and left the room.

She felt sad that he didn't believe her,she was sure he was the one. It was no wonder she trusted him and developed a liking for him at first sight.

If only he could look he could look into her eyes and see the real her just like in the movies and not judge her by her warped up family, just maybe he could have been her Prince Charming.
