11 Chloe's Arrival

The party went on quite well,and China was having a good time. She had danced with different guys and had received a thousand compliments.

She was by the food court getting a snack when Alvin walked to her. "Hey beautiful, what you up to?" He teased and China blushed again

"Nothing much really. I just want to thank you for letting me attend your party as a guest,it means a lot." China said again.

"Not again, I should be the one thanking you for coming although I've been very mean to you." Alvin said and held her hand.

Just then,a girl walked in and Alvin left China's hand to welcome here. "Chloe is that you?" Alvin said as he walked towards the girl. "In the flesh. Oh how I've missed it's been so long." Chloe said as both met in a hug.

Chloe was Alvin's best friend and ex girlfriend back in high school. Her parents had moved away for some reason best known to them.

So their relationship had ended due to that but Chloe's sudden arrival at the party brought back old memories.

"Why didn't you tell me you were in town?" Alvin asked as they broke from the hug. "I lost contact with you when I moved away and I thought it'd be better to surprise you. Was I wrong?" She asked with a cute face.

"No. This is the best surprise I've had in a long time." Alvin said with a smile completing ignoring China's presence

"Who's she?" Chloe questioned. "Your girlfriend?" Chloe added pointing to China

"No. She's the ma... She's just a friend." Alvin said and looked away. The rest of the party went on smoothly.

In a few hours,the party came to an end all the guests left except Chloe and China. China wanted to leave but Alvin stopped her. "Don't go yet,please stay a little." Alvin pleaded.

"What for? You know I have work tomorrow." China declined. "Just stay for a few minutes and you could keep Chloe and I company." Alvin pleaded and China reluctantly agreed.

Chloe took a glass of wine and purposefully let it fall to the floor,the glass shattering in many pieces. "Oops! My bad,but who's going to clean it?" Chloe said with a fake frown.

"Don't worry I'll clean it." China volunteered. "No,I couldn't let you." Chloe said.

"No. It's OK, I pretty much know my way around this house so it's not a problem." China set and left to get her cleaning equipments.

Chloe smiled sinisterly having put her plan in motion and moved on to the next stage, getting two drinks.
