Jason

[ Jason's Point Of View ]

It hurt... to see her face fall. I could not bare it. I wanted to do nothing but keep her happy. I knew once I read the note, she was going to be upset.

"Princess, we will get her back. Do not worry. I will send my most trusted Knights." I tried to reassure her.

She stood up and walked over to the balcony doors.

"This cannot be happening." She said her eyes started to water.

She fell to the floor and started sobbing.

I ran to her, picked her up and just held her. I let her cry.

"We will get her back. I am going to get some clothes for you, and meet you in the hall. I have to speak with Kyle."

I picked her up and set her on the bed, went to the closet grabbed her some clothes and set it next to her.

She was so, beautiful. Even when she was crying, she had this aura that just sucked you in. If only she knew the power she had over me.

I kissed her softly and left the room.

"Kyle. Any word?" I said while joining him in the hall.

"They have her in the Unmarked territory, Sir. They agreed to meet on neutral grounds. But sir, if I may say.. this is extremely risky. Not only will they have it guarded, but it's the Unmarked. All the banned and forbidden creatures are there. Ones that have been there for centuries. If they even see you, they will attack."

"I am aware. But that is a risk we will take. " I said sternly.

Kyle is my best friend, and my best Knight. I sent him years ago to keep an eye on Isabelle. I trust him with my life.

The door opened and she came out. No matter what she wears, she just radiates beauty.

I saw Kyle also staring at her and I did not like the way he was.

Her face flushed from the attention.

"Come my dear. We need to talk."

She slowly came to me and I hugged her.

The three of us went downstairs, and we ran into the Highness Caroline again. She was accompanied by her guard.

I was holding Isabelle's hand when she saw Caroline and tried to let go.

I squeezed her hand and put my other hand out to Caroline. She stopped and looked confused.

"Hello Caroline."

"Hello Sir. Jason. Is everything alright?" She looked hurt. But my love was not okay with her touching me, and I would not go against her feelings.

"Yes. Is there something you need?"

Caroline looked taken aback and looked at Isabelle with this hateful look.

"I would appreciate it if you did not look at my Princess that way." I said standing taller.

Her eyes slowly went from her to me,

She bowed and said, "yes... Sir Jason. My apologies Princess. I was coming to say my goodbyes."

"Goodbye, Caroline." I bowed and started to move past her, in doing so I could feel Isabelle relax.

As we continued to the hall, I could hear her say to her guard, "what the hell? Who is this girl. She needs to go."

"How did I do?" I smiled at her and she smiled back. Good enough for me.

As we walked into the hall, I told her she can sit if she wants. I had a maiden bring in some food for her.

Me and Kyle talked about the plan and she came over,

"What can I do?" She said eagerly.

"Nothing yet my dear." I said softly.

"Why? My mom is out there and I want to help rescue her." She crossed her arms. I knew she was about to go off because anytime she stands that way and crosses her arms? She's about to speak her mind.

"Princess, I think it would be best if you stayed here while we get your mother. It will be far too dangerous." I said, knowing she was not going to like my response. I would never forgive myself if something happened to her.

"ha. I was not asking your permission. Sir Jason." She said through her teeth and standing up straight.

"Princess. Please Listen to me, very carefully. You cannot go. Where we are going, is Unmarked. Do you know what that means? No. You do not. That is a land that is not ruled. The creatures that live in this territory are very... unpredictable."

I saw her face slowly soften and worry started to flood it instead.

"My mother is there?" she said as her eyes started to get glossy.

I looked at Kyle, who came over to her.

"Iz, listen. I have to agree with Sir. Jason. This place is not a very pleasant place to be. We both want you to be safe, and if you came with us I know Sir. Jason would not focus on the mission. He will be focused on you and not retrieving your mother. Please, Please do not be stubborn right now. I need you to stay here while we do this." He said while gazing in her eyes.

I do not like how he spoke to her, but he was right. I am starting to wonder why he is so soft to her.

"But if I can do something to help? There has to be something I can do Kyle. She... she's my mother. You know how much she means to me." she said while leaning into him and crying. I did not like the look of her distraught in someone else's arms. Even if it was my best Knight.

I growled and Kyle immediately let go and stood back. She looked at Kyle and looked at me. She rolled her eyes and wiped her tears away.

"So, you guys want me to sit here and do nothing while you go risk your lives to save my mother?"

"Yes." Me and Kyle both said in unison.

"ugh. Fine. BUT I want to be updated. How long will it take and when do you leave?"

" We are going over the plan now then we will leave." I replied while leaning over and kissing her forehead.

I felt her lean in and hug me. I love the way she looked at me, i could feel what she was and i knew now was not the time for that.

"There is a library on the third floor. I know you love to read, i can have a knight take you there if you want."

She nodded and waved for a Knight to come over. "Take the Princess to the Library, and be sure her needs are met." I said sternly.

I bent down and kissed her lips and felt her kiss me back softly. Then she kissed me harder and I grabbed her face.

Kyle cleared his throat and we both looked at him.

"Sir, I hate to interrupt but the enemies are on the move." He said with this look on his face that showed he was uncomfortable.

Isabelle turned and followed the Knight out of the hall.

"Kyle, do you have feelings for Isabelle?" I looked at him not moving waiting for his reply.

He looked at me and said, "I care for her. After all, we did spend years together in the mortal world and I learned much about her. She became a good friend to me."

I did not necessarily like his response, but I appreciated his honesty.
