It still hurts (Old version)

As Xue Yun began to open her eyes, head aching, she was blinded by the light that shone in through her window. She groaned and covered her head with the blanket, "I wish I didn't go drinking yesterday.", She thought. As she rolled out of bed, she did it very slowly so she wouldn't throw up, and after successfully getting up (without throwing up), she looked around, she sighed and as she looked around her clean and neat floral printed room, the picture of her and her boyfriend, Ya Jun, at the amusement park, for her birthday caught her eye, "Correction, EX-boyfriend.", She thought as she put the picture face down. Then as the sound of the shower rang in her head, she remembered the promise they made to each other on that day.

"Make a wish." She heard him say. Closing her eyes, she blew out the candle. "What wish did you make?" She opened her eyes and looked right into the smiling eyes of a smiling face. It was Ya Jun, he had flown from abroad especially to celebrate her birthday with her.

"Can't tell you."

"Why?"

"Or else it won't come true"

"But maybe if you tell me I can make sure it does come true." He said.

Smiling as she remembered how much she missed him and how much she wished he was by her side especially since it was her birthday. And now, like a dream, he was, and they were at the amusement park eating the cake he had bought in Paris before his flight.

"Okay, Okay.", I said. "I wished that all of my birthdays will be like this."

"In the amusement park?"

"No. With you next to me."

"Ah... Now that sounds perfect to me. I'll always be here for you no matter how far away I might be, I'll always come back for you. And plus if you were to have all your birthdays here in the amusement park that would be weird."

"What!? What do you mean by that?"

"Just that if an eighty-year-old grandma were to come and celebrate her birthday here that would probably be hilarious or just really odd." He said with a shrug and the slightest hint of a smile.

Looking at him in utter disbelief, his crack of a smile widened and he broke out laughing. She swung around and punched him several times. Still laughing while she punched him in the rib, she looked up at him and tip-toeing she gently kissed him on the cheek and stepped back feeling a little shy. Looking at Mu Bai, all she could think about was her wish, her wish that they could always be together. Blushing when he started looking at her, she looked down hoping that he didn't see her somewhat embarrassed blush. He did see her blushing but thought that she was adorable and then he gently jerked her chin up and kissed her. Gasping in surprise, she felt like she could float from happiness.

Coming out of the shower, her head no longer ached and she felt better, but she wished that she could get over her ex soon and stop remembering everything. Looking at her phone, it was already nine past ten! She was going to be late for work. Smothering curses she hurriedly put on her clothes and shoes and ran out the door. Just in time, she made on the bus just as it was about to close the doors. Looking out the window, sighing she mumbled, "It looks like it's going to rain."
