3 Chapter 3 Introductions

The Planet Azoria is colossal in size standing at more than 16 times the size of earth , Azoria has five continents 4 of similar colossal size and one continent formed of hundreds of small islands, originally planet Azoria had billions of people on each continent, but in the ages past the demon beasts began to spread throughout each continent as ordinary animals found and eaten natural qi crystals from the earth, formed through the earth gradually absorbing the qi from the heavens and compressing them deep in the earth, now mostly found somewhat deep in the earth around where beasts and cultivators have died and released there qi. the beasts soon attacked the humans desiring their flesh and qi, and the humans fled the countryside into well defended cities of vast size, there is a large gap between cities so common people didn't know just how vast their world is. The beasts greatly differed in strength and number between continents , the less beasts in a continent the greater their strength as the beasts are very territorial. Beast cores found in the heart of beasts above the level of sixth martial student level, are used in many parts of production of treasures ,cultivation resources and use in certain alchemic pills, so the cores from 6th martial student beasts became standard currency for earth's equivalent of 100 euro while the byte became the currency between 1-99 euro and bunt is the currency between 1-99 cent. the five continents are in order of beast strength was estra, caith, treya, Valli and the forbidden islands. although the beasts on land are quite dangerous the beasts in the oceans are rumored to be all as strong as armies, preventing travelling between islands impossible without teleportation circles in the continents capital cities.

Cultivators have been existing ever since 2100 when the first use of beast cores were found and around 2111 when ordinary weapons became useless as the first beasts began to form their qi shell at martial student 9 peak, cultivators began to find ways of using qi but there are many different methods but the two most prevalent where the "inner" and "outer" cultivation, Inner cultivation uses qi to attack from a distance using various "magic" attacks be it elemental qi where they soak their qi in an element over time to give their qi special effects such as earth qi giving a formidable defence qi shell similar to beasts, or weapon qi where they focus qi on their weapon to launch blades of qi and enhance the sharpness on durability of their weapon. "outer" qi focuses on the body using qi to strengthen the body's durability, strength, reflexes and speed to the point of being able to compete evenly with inner qi cultivators, Inner qi requires patience while outer qi requires the willpower to resist pain. Inner qi cultivators will mostly win in long distance battles and against groups while outer cultivators are unbeatable in close range.

There are many so called evil cultivators who use unscrupulous means to cultivate faster and have strange and evil methods of escape and subterfuge, they are hunted down and killed when found so they don't have any sects only apprentices.

Cultivation realms are graded as martial student, martial apprentice, martial journeyman, martial expert, martial king, martial emperor, martial lord, martial saint, sage, demi-godlike, godlike. every realm is harder than the last each realm purges waste in the body at a deeper level allowing qi to flow easier and increases the density. clans start teaching qi control at as young an age as possible because each child innately absorbs xiantian qi from the mother and aren't tainted by the houtian qi as much as adults , xiantian qi has the innate ability to speed up qi flow speeding cultivation and xiantian qi when cultivated strengthens the organs so that they are harder to injure, usually when not cultivated the xiantian qi is only enough to strengthen the child enough so the huge amount of gravity on the planet doesn't crush them.

In the continents each family belongs to clans of various sizes, each person's first name would be their clan name and second name would be similar to their fathers name. for example lin yuxiang's son would be lin yuxia. Each clan would have their own focuses for profit such as inscription making, forging, alchemy, formations, scribes, talisman artists and fighting.

In the year 2437 in the continent estra lived a clan of fighting cultivators who earn money by joining the army at 18 and returning at the age of 40 to work as guards in the city, lived a family man name lin xiang, lin xiang had 4 wives,6 sons and 2 daughters, lin xiang's newest wife is just about to have her first child. The lin clan was tied second with the zhang family in the constant power struggle in a fourth rate city near a medium sized beast forest. both families have around 400 members in their family. today on the second of the third month was the day his next child was going to be born.

Lin xiang was buzzing with excitement as he paced outside the door hearing his wife screaming in pain, one whole day he has been walking there getting more nervous by the second, finally he heard her stop screaming, preparing to run into the room the next sound he heard suddenly removed all trace of worry a large,clear voice began wailing sounding extremely healthy, abnormally healthy even, but who was he to complain, this was his son, healthy was good. He ran into the room to see his wife looking down on his son with a calm smile on her face as his son slept peacefully, he kissed his wife on the forehead turned to his son and said "rest well my son, lin xia"
