9 Elite Dungeon: Hell Mode

Sigurd laughed in a hearty manner. "Since when did I make you my sword boy!"

Everyone stares like they have seen a monster, especially the Star Admirals. The moment they saw Delifierce's HP decreased to 1, I am Perfect looks scared as sh***less. Even Elegant Grace shook her legs in a more weakened state. And Spotless Glass just sighs mentally.

Poor Delifierce still lays there on the ground, the five minute stun is as slow as a turtle. His eyes filled with shameful tears as his lips tremble in disbelief.

This event has been truly embarrassing for them. If a word of this has gone out to the rest of the public, how are they going to face their guild?

Tell them that they were insulted by this man? That's likely unnecessary. What they wanna know is why they were attacked by an NPC. That part would be left to Delifierce to explain himself. In any case, he have barked at the wrong tree.

Despite all of this, both Blue and Sigurd are still ignorant to everyone's presence.

"But these are indeed precious. I say you have helped my friend with his problem?" Taking out a random sword, Sigurd marveled at the sharpness of the blade.

Blue nodded, smiling. "Whether Grand Master denies it, I did help."

Sigurd smirked at the remark, gesturing two to five soldiers to take the bags. They quickly went over to Blue, who in turn gave them the three bags, before handing over one Keen Sword to each of their brothers in arms.

"That dwarf always makes a tantrum about his works. But I'm impressed, rookie. Taking you in wasn't a mistake after all." After digging his hand into his leather bag, he gave him three things. Two thick books and a small silver band.

[System Announcement: You have completed the Quest (Swordboy). You received Swordboy's Band, 30 silver coins and 5000 EXP.]

Not bad, not bad. This one's a Silver equipment. Blue thought, satisfied as he puts on the band. If he turned in with just Sharp Iron Swords instead, he could have ended up with Bronze. Besides this, he went up to a new level so he started to allocate his new points.

He added the new points to Hit Rate and Attack Speed, increasing them by 5. Looking somewhat gratified, he furrows his brow when he glanced at the Class Category.

Class: Warrior (Temporary)

How long does it gonna stay like that? He's already around Level 10 for crying out loud!

When he heard a ding, he altered his attention from his player info to a certain interface. It's the rewards for completing the Level S Quest.

[System Announcement: You have completed the Prologue Quest (Ready For Battle! Part 2). You received a random skill book, 10 gold coins and 70,000 EXP.]

Then another notification appeared. After reading it, he begins to feel odd.

[Because your hard work and reputation is acknowledged by Elite Commander Sigurd, you received another skill book as a bonus reward.]

Ah?

Has he lost his sight? Did he actually gain another skill book?

Slapping his face, the stinging pain, which regulates by the system, is enough to convince him that this isn't a dream. This thing is real!

I am Perfect noticed him taking something from Sigurd. He is only 5 meters close to them, and he could see the two brown books in Perseus' hands.

"Fu***! Are those skill books?!" He exclaimed.

And they're two of them! This guy gained two fu***ing skill books.

This caught the attention of Spotless Glass and every player present there. Before anyone made a move, Sigurd already gave them a cold glare as if warning them to not cross the line.

"What are you all standing there? Didn't give you a command? Go help those men!" Sigurd shouted at them.

Having a flashback of this NPC's attack, everyone shook in fright. Nodding vigorously, they all took their leave, along with Spotless Glass and his party, who were carrying Delifierce like a rescue team. Everyone left in a speed of light, leaving a satisfied Sigurd.

"That's more like it."

Blue sighed as he looks back to the skill books in his hands. He inhaled a mouthful of cold air. He have gained a second one alright, but this is also random. The chances of getting a good skill out of the these two is a fat chance[1]. Although he doesn't consider himself having a black hand[2], he doubted that he'll be lucky this time.

Putting his hand on one of the books, he flipped the pages over. His heart begins to beat faster as he read the following words.

[Pommel Strike]: Level: 1/100, Instant, AoE hit count: 2, 14 seconds cool down, attacking enemies with a sword rear. A single target attack that deals 345% damage while ignoring 1% of the target's defense. Has the chance to [Stun]. Effect lasts for 4 seconds. Level Requirement: 3.

Sigurd used this skill on Delifierce earlier. Although it is the level 1 version of the skill, it is still an AoE attack. The 4 second stun effect isn't an issue, and with just 1% of ignoring either a small or medium target's defense Blue can make up the damage needed to be dealt in a precise technique, depending on how he wields it. Moreover, there are at least more than 50 skill points on him.

After learning the skill, his attention averted to the last book. He made a large gulp and lifted the cover. His heart stops beating. His eyes dilated to small constricted dots.

[Van Thrust]: Level: 1/100; Instant; AoE hit count: 4; 21 seconds cool down: perform slashes in different directions. Deals 115% damage to all enemies hit based on the Attack stat. Every successful hit on a target increases damage dealt by 10, no limit to the increase. Special Effect: Can be extended within 2 yards, but further more than that total distance, critical chance is decreased by 45%. Level Requirement: 4

Oh fu***!

An existence of this skill came from Random? No fu***ing way! This thing's OP! It shouldn't just appear like that!

Has the sun risen from the west? Oh wait, how can he know where it rises now that these dark clouds covered the whole sky?

He held the book in his trembling hands before it disappeared into a white flash. He couldn't believe his luck.

This skill... If he were to make it to Level 5, it'll be even more OP! Not to mention, if this skill is in its level max... Blue can imagine hundreds of enemies one-hit killed by more than four slashes. He breathed a mouthful of cold air. Any player who gets their hands on this skill will become a god, unless their equipment could provide them extra bonuses and reduce the MP consumption.

He laughed out with joy. He was so glad that he didn't take the other classes. Otherwise, he would've been murdered in an instant by some lucky player with this skill.

"You seem to be happy with my gifts." Sigurd smiles in amusement.

Embarrassed, Blue quickly makes a salute, "Commander, there are no words that can describe how I feel. But yes, I am indeed happy, and grateful to your generosity. I--I just don't know how I should thank you."

"Oh please, no need to try. That'll just make it look like I also owe you something in return. Don't make it a fuss."

Blue shook his head. "But I am a soldier, Sir. And as one, I'll be willing to put my life on the line for the people and the Alliance."

He have already made things clear to himself. With his injured hands taken care of, he's beginning to enjoy this game even more. He was so eager to dwell deeper into this virtual realm and see how far he can go.

Hearing it coming from him, how could Sigurd not be moved? "You're connected to Phantom, right?"

"Yes."

"Good. Since you're this kind of person, I would be rude if I refuse."

System Announcement: You received the Prologue Quest [Strike Back] (Quest Level: SS)

Quest Description: Enter the Elite Dungeon Dead Warzone (Any Difficulty) and aid Elite Commander Sigurd to slay Necromancer Niadamar.

Rewards:

???

It's another Prologue Quest, and is at least in Level SS. But something puzzled Blue even more. Dead Warzone? Did it mean the outside walls?

It's actually an Elite Dungeon? He never heard of dungeons being centered around open fields. In almost every single game, dungeons often themed in castles, caves, and other unnatural realms where you can't even see the sky, and they're filled with monsters lurking in the dark. Many rpgs have this feature and the game developers found them as a tradition, in courtesy of the oldest game Dungeons & Dragons.

Siggurd allowed him to take the reign. "Pick your Difficulty."

Since your asking me, and the quest say so, then I'll pick... Skimming over the list of modes, he found the most suitable one. Without hesitation, he tapped on it.

Within the next second, Sigurd's expression changed. He had a look of utter shock.

He picked the...
