3 Chapter 3

Silvia soon realised that being a baby was harder than it seemed. It was extremely embarrassing and she felt like she had already lost most of her dignity as a magician. What was harder was the fact that she couldn't move around (except turning onto her stomach which was harder than it seemed).

{wu~ I want to move around~ Couldn't that (beep) goddess get me a body of some 10 year old or something! (beep) that (beep)}

{You've been on about this for hours....just get used to it}

Celestia who was currently very well behaved beside her advised.

{SHUT UP YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS OLD MAN'S FEELING'S!}

Silvia screamed.

Celestia:"..." my head hurts....

{Instead of screaming why don't you try to get me one of the books on the bookshelf with your magic, I want to know more about this place}

Celestia spoke after a while.

{Ah! Why didn't I think of that! You should say such things earlier!}

Silvia scolded, completely forgetting the fact that she was the one who was screaming all this time.

Celestia:"..." Can I kill her now?....

The room they were staying in had a huge collection of books that seemed out of place in a baby's room. It was most likely that this used to be a study before. Who used to stay here was a complete mystery. Even the maids don't seem to know about this ex-resident from listening to their gossip. Some even say it was a ghost. But of course neither Celestia nor Silvia were interested in this as they had more pressing matters to deal with.

Because the room was huge there was quite some distance between their crib and the bookshelf so it was quite hard to read the book titles especially with their baby eyes. Silvia focused her magic on to her eyes and read each of the names for Celestia to hear.

{...Duke's secret baby...Prince please stop...The monster lord's mistress...}

Celestia:"..." Was this really a study or an adult room...

Silvia:"hmm? Why is there a book with two guys being touchy in there? The name's weird too...Secret XXX? What's with the triple X?"

{...Don't...Its Nothing...Is there anything useful in there?}

Celestia quickly changed the subject trying not to make the poor magician anymore shameless than she already was.

{hmm...Ah! There's a book called legend of Artus or something it looks pretty old}

{Take it out then}

Silvia slowly let the mana in her body spread connecting to the old book and then pulling it towards herself until it finally floated down on to the crib in front of the two babies.The both of them started reading it.

Long long ago, when the whole world was in chaos and this empire was on the brink of going bankrupt due to the endless squandering of the royals and nobles, a young prince and his knight set out on a journey in search of the goddess Layla the one who governs over everything. After facing many hardships and almost dying countless times the both of them reached the Garden Of Tranquillity where the goddess stayed. They asked for the goddess's help in saving their empire and even agreed to give their petty lives in exchange if they must. The goddess who had been observing them throughout the journey agreed to help them. The goddess gave a bit of her blood to the prince and told him to drink it. The prince drank it without hesitation and suddenly felt pure holy magic pulsing through his body. The goddess told him that with this power he could protect his empire and help it reach new heights. She then called out to the young knight and drew a pattern of wolf on his chest and told him that with this he would have the strength to protect those he wishes to protect. She then blessed both of them. And thus with the goddess's blessings they were able to save the empire and bring it back to its previous glory. The young prince became the Emperor and took the last name Castillo as the royal family name. While the young knight was given the title Duke Arteus. Thus these two families continues ruling the empire, ensuring peace and prosperity for years.

Celestia:"What a great story!"

Silvia:*snores*

Silvia:"OW!"
