19 Dungeon (3)

On the way to Robert's shop, I buy some pieces of bread and fruit. As always the bread quality is poor. The bread here is very dry and quite hard too. And the fruit I buy is similar to berry. It has sweet and little sour taste. I still have some money for booking 1 room for me later.

Booking 1 room included 3 meals in Bernard's place is cost me 5 copper coins a day. I can buy 3 pieces of bread for 1 copper coin. So I think I have a quite fortune now. But I still need more money though.

After putting the bread and fruit on my storage pouch, we continue to walk until we reach our destination. The shop is locked before we go to the inn yesterday. After unlocking the door, we go inside the store.

"Uncle Bernard, may I buy some potions?"

"Why you need it?"

"Just for an emergency."

In truth, I want to learn more about this world. The potion is some sort of miracle drug which doesn't exist on Earth. So I want to try it at least once.

A few moments later, Alan's party come. They're pretty energetic as usual.But different from yesterday, they come prepared.Alan wears a light armor and bring his usual sword like yesterday, Jack wears heavy armors and bring a big round shield and a mace is hanging on his waist.Cindy wears a black cloak and bring a staff fitting her image as magician.

"Are you ready Vin?"

"Yeah."

"But before we go, we need to determine our formation first. Because Vin is newcomer, he doesn't know our team works."

Formation huh.

"Can you explain it?"

"In our formation, Jack always on the front, Cindy in the middle and I guard them. Sometimes when Jack needs my help, I come to the front, also I protect Cindy when she cast magic. But we have you now. So I want to trust you our rear side and protect Cindy. Can you do that?"

"I see. In short, I need to keep our rear side safe and protect Cindy. I got it."

"Ah yeah, also can you give us some buff too?

" Of course."

"That's great."

Honestly, when they proposed to talk about the formation, I will use that as a basis to decide my next move.

If they put me on the front side and worst-case happen (betrayal), I can't go back to the previous floor or to exit. I only can move deeper to the dungeon where the monsters are stronger every floor. If that happens, I only can push my luck and use my acceleration skill to run away faster than them. I just hope they don't have some skills similar to me.

But they put me on the rear side, which I can run away if something bad happens. They show their consideration of me. But I can't fully trust them yet. Maybe this is just their act to deceive me.

You think I thinking too much?

Of course, I am. I only have one life. I have no family or friends to rely on. So I will consider everything to make sure I survive.

"And Vin, honestly we can't bring you to the dungeon, but there's another way."

"What is it?"

They show a complicated face.

"You will come to the dungeon as our slaves."

Slaves.

Unfortunate people who lost their human rights. They fall to slaves because of some reasons like debts, crime, and forced. They were treated as property. In this world, slaves are bound by magic and they can't against their master word.

And these people told me to become their slaves?

Are they insane?

Before I know, I already put my hand on my katana hilt. Before I completely snapped, I asked them.

"Can you say that once again?"

"I, I don't mean like you imagine Vin. You know just pretending you are our slaves. Because slaves treated as property, you can go to a dungeon with us."

I see, I just need to act as their slaves huh

Ugh, somehow I remember my past memories as "his dog".Dancing around his palm, and do everything he said like a faithful servant and yet he is the one who murdered my parents.

What a stupid life.

Shit.

" Is there another way?"

"I am afraid no other way Vin."

"Okay."

For now, I will play as their slaves.

After discussing other small details, we go to the dungeon. The dungeon located outside of the villages on the east side. Because of that, the population of the village increases, due to the adventurer and some merchants come here.

When we arrived, there are a lots adventure waiting in line.There are some merchant here to who sells potion and foods.

But somehow,everyone looks at me.

Kuh, I am treated like some rare animals.

And there is a spiky-haired boy come to us.

"Alan, who is this kid? Why you bring him?"

"Ah Alex, he is our slave. He has a Support Role to helps us."

"But he looks like very weak."

"We just need his skill, So we can't force him to fight."

"Hey, you don't plan to use him as bait isn't?"

The boy speaks in a small voice.

"Of course not."

"Well then, I hope your success, Alan. See you."

"Yeah, thanks. See you."

After that boy left, we go to the dungeon entrance. The dungeon entrance looks like an ordinary cave, but it has downstairs that leads to the first floor. From here my first raid to dungeon start.
