6 Chapter 6

Kakashi dissapeared somewhere after we reached outside Hokage's office. I must say that the building was very old style constructed of good quality wood. I liked the simple infrastructure very much.

Just when I was going to knock on the door, Naruto casually opened it with a thrust and hpped inside. That blonde brat really did not have any manners not that I care though.

I also entered and saw a very old man wearing red white robes . Hokage was really old as wrinkles filled his face and his hair which were almost bald now, were all white.

Naruto - Jiji , meet my new friend Shin !

Hokage - I know already Naruto. That's why I called you two here to meet the new friend of my grandson..

Tch.. I really did not like fact that this old man could peep on whole village using his damn crystal ball.

Me - Greetings old man. My name is Mori Shin. It's an honour to meet you.

I felt very good when old man's mouth twitched after I called him old man.

Hokage - Well I'm really too old for this job anyway.. Its nice to meet you too Shin kun. I watched your match before and I have to say that I'm very impressed with your skill in Taijutsu. Who is your teacher ?

Me - Thank you for praise. I dont have any teacher old man. I'm a civilian orphan so it's too difficult for me to learn from a capable teacher personally....

Hokage - So you are telling me that you have trained your skill alone ?

I ignored the suspicious look of Hokage as I could not tell him the truth anyway.

Me - Yea, I trained alone. Do you have any problem with that ?

( Hokage pov )

I already knew that this kid Shin had not learnt from any specific teacher before but I still could not help but ask. His skill in Taijutsu was that amazing after all. I really look forward to groom this gem but first I have to access his character. I don't why but I get the same feeling as Hashirama sensei from Shin's attitude of the strong. He will really become a good pawn in future...

I told Naruto to wait outside for a while and decided to have a chat with Shin.

Hokage - Shin kun, what is definition of a ninja from your perspective..

I expected the kid to be confused but instead he replied immediately.

Shin - Hmm.. I think that a ninja should strive to be the strongest. I dont know about others but for me, a ninja should mostly work in the shadows. I want to become an anbu and complete most number of missions in history of Konoha.

To say I was surprised by his answer would be an understatement. I could tell that Shin was completely serious. This was very rare as civilian kids rarely showed interest in joining anbu and most of them were not even aware of about its existence.. After the wars and that hateful Kyuubi incident, our military strength had weakened a lot. I decided to keep an eye on this child from now on because his will to become strong was genuine..

Hokage - Oh? You are very smart for your age Shin kun. There are many paths for ninjas and yours is also correct one. Anyway if you want to join the anbu then mediocre talent will not cut it as anbu is filled with only elites. I will give you one year then. Train well in this year and visit me next year. I will see then if you have the qualifications to join anbu or not..

( Shin POV )

Unexpectedly things went way easier than I had thought. Old man gave me a year and it's more than enough for me.

Shin - Thanks for giving me the opportunity.

I gave a small bow and showed a small smile. In fact I could not contain my excitement properly now because I know joining anbu will means difficult missions which in turn means huge Exp for me to level up quickly.. I seriously looked forward to the future now...
