I ask for stones and offer a question. If you could have 3 wishes, but you couldn't leave this world for any other. What wishes would you make? The only restriction is that you must stay in this world. Enjoy the chapter!)

POV King Henry

"The paperwork just keeps on coming." I sigh as I sift through the never-ending stack of papers on my desk. When I retire from this shitty job, I'll dump all of this crap on Syrin. I could sit back and live like a king should, without all of this mind-numbing work. "Those will be the days."

*knock knock*

"Enter!" I answer from my seat.

"Pardon me, Your Majesty." A Butler enters with another stack of papers.

"*Sigh* just put them somewhere not already covered in paperwork." I order and he does as I say.

"Would you like any refreshments?" He asks and I shake my head.

"No, thank you." I say and he leaves me to my work.

"The work of a king is never done." A stoic voice says in the room.

"Hehe, you got that right...." I answer reflexively and peak around the room. A man dressed as an assassin with one long horn on the center of his head is leaning against the wall to my right. I almost attack him out of reflex, but every instinct in my body is telling me that he could kill me easily. My instincts are usually right about these things, so I'll follow my gut and not attack. "How did you get in here!?" I say loud enough to hopefully alert someone of my situation. Where is my aerie guard?

"The guards outside won't here you, and neither will your little assassins." The man comments as he walks to my desk. I thought I was dead for sure, but he simply pulled a folder out of nowhere and places it in front of me.

"What's this?" I ask as I stare at the file.

"It's a report on the core beast herd your wife is dealing with and it's origins." The horned man says as he returns to the wall. I peak into the file and scan through it briefly. Truly shocking, but this explains why the herd has been so abnormal.

"Why are you giving this to me? Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful for the information, but what are you getting out of this?" I ask.

"Nothing. I'm merely doing as my master commands." He says.

"Master? Who would that be?" I curiously ask.

"Your son." He says and my jaw practically hit the floor.

"What do you mean? My son hasn't said anything about you." I say with a shocked expression. If this is true then how have the aerie not picked up on his presence around Syrin?

"Master saved my life, so I pledged my service to him. I'm his bodyguard and spymaster." He says and that explains it. He must be far more skilled than anyone in the aerie.

"Well, it's good to have you watching over my son." I say as I'm not sure how to handle this. On one hand, an unknown Demi human has been around my son, and on the other, if he's earnest in his pledge to my son then Syrin is lucky to have come upon this man.

"It's an honor to serve his Highness. I'll be taking my leave now." He says and before I could say anything he disappeared.

"*sigh* What have you been up to, my son?"

POV Floyd (Syndicate extermination expedition)

His Highness has given us a mission and I'll see it done to my dying breath! I'm ashamed of my past behavior as such a low life cretin. When his Highness blessed me with his light, I couldn't help but feel dumb for my past life. How could a knight of his Highness' order act in such a shameful manner? I could die from shame if I didn't already pledge my life to my Lord.

I've spoken to every knight that his highness left in my command, and they all understand the light that is our lord. How could they not? They were all similar to me until his highness blessed them as well. Low life simpletons who committed crime after crime in his highness' territory. They feel the same shame as I do, and have pledged their lives to my lord as I did.

"Let's move out! Our Lord wants this done speedily and thoroughly. We don't want to disappoint him!" I address my men.

"YES SIR!" A hundred knights chorus in unison.

"For our lord!" I call out.

"FOR OUR LORD!"

POV Syrin

"So what are we going to do about this?" I ask as I look at my mother. Rem refills my cup of tea and Souei is patiently standing at my side.

"The herd?" She asks.

"Yes, what should we do?" I ask again.

"I don't know. Most likely your father will formulate some type of plan." Mother says and a Souei clone appears in front of me.

"The king has been informed of the beast herd, and my presence in your life, Master." The clone says.

"Good, you gave him the file, correct?" I ask.

"Yes." He nods.

"Is this the clone ability you told me about?" Mother asks and I nod. "Truly amazing. How did my husband react when you appeared in his office?" Mother asked.

"He was shocked and scared, but he didn't attack me. I gave him the file and we talked for a moment. Then I left to report to you, Master." He says.

"See, not everyone's first reaction is to attack." I say in an 'I told you so' type of manner and my mother clicks her tongue and rolls her eyes at me. I just ignore her and turn to the clone "You've done well. You can return to your previous duties now." I say and the clone disappears.

"What are his previous duties?" My mother asks.

"I have Souei clones everywhere. Like I said before, Souei is my spymaster." I explain.

"Are they spying on me?" She asks with a stern look.

"No, I have no need to spy on my parents." I lie through my teeth. Well, I'm technically not lying, as the clones I have following her are for protection, not spying.

"They better not be spying on me, Syrin!" She exclaims.

"You'll have to trust that I'm telling the truth." I shrug. She eyes me for a minute and lets it go. Thank god. "I'm sure you have some work to do now that you have that file, so I'll get out of your hair." I say and stand.

"Yeah, I have to call a meeting to explain all of this to the other high-rank adventurers." She agrees.

"Do you need anything before I leave?" I ask.

"Umm, Yeah, can you bring one of these files to the adventurers guild in Vadena? Your father will probably forget, as he will be dealing with the Nobles. I'm sure some of those sissy Nobles will wet themselves at the information in the file." She laughs.

"Sure, should I leave it at the front desk?" I ask.

"No, bring it directly to the Guild Master. This is far too important to leave with a receptionist." She says.

"Alright, I'll be back soon." I say and get ready to leave.

"Love you, sweetheart!" My mother calls as I'm leaving.

"Love you too, mom." I reply as I teleport away. Souei, Rem, and I appear in the middle of a crowded guildhall. Everything is bustling and loud until the adventurers notice me. The hall grows silent, and everyone looks at me with curiosity.

"Huh? Who's the kid?"
