33 C31 Auction (3)

You answer an unknown call and the man on the other line tells you to look down. You reflexively peak downward and see a red laser pointer glowing on your chest. You glance at a nearby building, and see someone with a sniper rifle aimed directly at you. The man on the phone tells you to drop all of your power stones and walk away. You don't want to get sniped now do you? Oh, and enjoy the chapter!)
POV Royal Guard Captain
The exits out of the city have been locked down, and guards have been posted. We used Nova's ability to appear at the gates, as to not cause a scene in the city. I split the guards into ten groups, so we can cover more ground. 100 guards a group, and the royal guard are evenly displaced between every one of them. There are four gates that can be used to enter and exit the city, so one group is sent to every gate. With six groups left we separate and get to work, as every group leader has been briefed on what to do. We are going to try to move as silently as possible, but moving such a large force will definitely attract attention. Nova will be staying with my group, as we are going after the higher-level targets.
When we split up, I lead my group to the inland river port that's inside the city. The river itself goes through the city, and out to sea. We don't have to worry about them escaping through the river, as the entrances at the walls of the city are locked down at night. Two huge retractable metal bar gates are closed at the walls every night. They don't open again until the sunrise, so there won't be any escape through the river. Even if the syndicate tries to squeeze through the bars, they wouldn't fit because the bars are checkered. The most that could fit through would be a baby or a small toddler.
Our target at the docks is the ships of smugglers and some of the warehouses. The ships themselves would be hard to infiltrate if we didn't have Nova. With Nova to make us appear in the ship, we don't have to fight our way up a narrow path onto the ships. The warehouses shouldn't be hard, as we just have to sweep and clear them as the prince said. These men and women that we'll run into shouldn't be too hard to deal with. They're a group of smugglers, not a trained army. They may have some high ranked people as guards, but 100 trained soldiers and the ability to appear anywhere should make things easy, hopefully. I'd like to actually sleep tonight, so I can only hope.
POV Syrin
The next block of the auction was armor sets, but nothing as interesting as the binding swords appeared. No binding armor or anything like that. I will be putting the armor to good use though. Nothing will go to waste, as even on earth I didn't like to waste things. I'll make a special order of knights, and equip them with the best armor and weapons. I'll have the order of assassins for the work that needs doing in the shadows, and the order of knights to fight in the light. I still need a name for them, but that can come later. My naming sense is horrible, so I'll take my time.
I feel like cackling madly again, but that needs to be held back. I must resist the urge, for I am a good man that would never get pleasure out of building an unstoppable army! Hehehe, STOP THAT. Anyway, none of the armor sets went close to the price of the binding swords. After the last piece of armor was sold the auctioneer spoke up.
"We are partway through the auction, so we'll be taking a short intermission. The staff will bring food and drink to any that request it. The break will only last half an hour, so don't go running off." She says as she exits the stage.
*knock knock*
"Rem, get the door please." I say.
"Yes, Master." She says and does as I say. Behind the door is the maid that escorted us to the room.
"Can I get your master anything?" She asks Rem.
"Master, would you like anything." Rem turns and asks me.
"A pot of tea, three cups, sugar, and milk." I respond. Rem looks at the maid as if to ask if she understood. The maid nods and leaves swiftly.
Before the door can close, a wondering woman most likely from one of the other VIP rooms passes by. She seems to notice me and immediately kneels where she stood outside the door. This is bad. I can't have someone walking by and noticing this.
"Rem, pull that woman inside, and be quick about it." I order.
"Yes, Master." She pulls her in and checks the hallway. Rem then closes the door before someone else walks by. "No one else saw." She says.
"*Sigh* Good job, Rem." I say as I get up to pat her on the head. She blushes slightly and looks away. Cute.
"Ahem" The woman clears her throat behind us. I turn and see that the woman is dressed like a noble, and has Demi-human features that I didn't notice earlier. She has black hair, green eyes, and what seems to be wolf-like ears and tail.
"Souei, remove her memories of me. I can't have her ruining our plans to cleanse the city of the syndicate. Send her back to her room when you're done." I order and a look of panic crosses her face.
"Wait! Please just wait a minute." She yells as Souei walks towards her. "Your Highness, I can explain. Please just give me a moment!" She says as she kneels on the ground begging.
"*sigh* Stop, Souei. This better be good, or I'll be very cross with you." I say menacingly. Well, as menacing as a 6-year-old can be.
"I promise it is, Your Highness. Thank you for listening to me." She says as her tail wags behind her.
*knock knock*
Another knock that the door, and it's probably the maid returning with the tea. I motion with my hand for the woman to get into the corner behind the door, and she does as I say. Rem gets the door again, and it's the maid like I thought.
"Your tea, Sir." She says with a tray of tea in her hands, and try's to walk in with it.
"I'll take the tea. You can leave." Rem blocks her path and takes the tray from her grasp. The door is then closed right in the maids' face.
"Haha, very smooth, Rem." I laugh.
"Stop making fun of me, Master." She mutters embarrassingly. Rem then sets the tray onto the coffee table.
"Miss, you can come to sit if you'd like?" I motion to the armchair across from me. "Souei, go and get another cup for our guest, and test the tea for any foreign substances."
"Yes, Master." Souei opens the lid of the teapot and sniffs it. "The tea is good. No poison or any other substances." He then disappears and appears in the same place with a cup in his hand.
"Thanks." I say as I take the cup. "Are you going to sit, or stand at the wall all night?" I ask the wolf woman by the door.
"I-I-I will sit, Your Highness." She scurries to her seat and sits down. She seems to be looking at Souei with awe and fear.
"What's your name?" I ask.
"Lily Aldaine." She answers promptly.
"Lily, seeing as you bowed that means you know who I am correct?" Lily nods rapidly "Now, you said that you would explain. Explain what exactly?" I ask as Rem pours her and I some tea.
"Explain why I'm here. I'm not here because I want to participate in the auction." Her face becomes serious. "I'm here because slavers are auctioning my people off tonight!"
