Jeanette's eyes fell on the dagger Odette threw into the room through the window, and she raised her head to look at Odette, arching her eyebrows at the same time.

And this was enough for Jeanette to get the idea on what Odette wanted her to do. Odette wanted Jeanette to grab the dagger and save herself on her own. This made Jeanette shoot Odette a dissatisfied glare to which Odette only smiled wider.

Odette stared with anticipation and amusement as though she waited for an interesting play to start.

As much as infuriating Odette felt right then, Jeanette knew she couldn't afford to waste time. Who knows what Odette would do if those men came to check up on her? Moreover, she recalled how they planned to poison her father.

Jeanette had to work fast.
