48 Bowling Alley

The next hangout was with my brother and sister in law. We were at home and decided to go out for the evening, not having much to do anyways. Hence, my brother called up my cousins to go bowling. We headed to United Stars Lanes, a good 20 minutes from our house.

My brother: Hey, is Jackson coming too?

Me: Um, I didn't tell him.. why?

Bro: well, you don't see him a lot, so this can be a good time to see him.

Me: I guess.. Well, I'll see if he has anything to do.

I blushed. Still remembering our first kiss from before. Gosh, I thought. I can't believe we actually kissed. I can still see the smile on his face looking at me after he kissed me and we said our goodnight. I wonder what he's doing...? Maybe, this would be a good time to see him again. It has been a while since we've hung out.

I took out my phone and decided to text Jackson.

Me: Heyy you! What are you doing?

Jackson: Well, Hello! :) Um, nothing much. Just helping my parents them do some stuff. How about you?

Me: Nothing much either. I'm just gonna maybe go out with my brother and sister in law. Wanna come?

Jackson: Umm, I'll have to see what happens. But I'll let you know silly.

Me: Okay, sounds good. We are leaving here in a bit. Going to United Star Lanes

Jackson: Ok. I'll let you know if I can or can't. I miss you.

Me: I miss you too :)

I headed out with my siblings shortly after.

We got to the bowling alley, greeted our relatives and started to bowl. I was terrible at it, but it was fun, especially since my relatives, specifically my brothers who were drinking and betting with each other on strikes (all the bowling pins falling down on one try) or spare (all the bowling pins falling down, but taking 2 times, instead of one). Luckily, for me, not being of age yet, I was not part of it. I ain't getting wasted tonight ;) I thought. LOL

Buzz, buzz.......

My phone lighted up.

I checked on it and it was from Jackson.

J: Hey Ori.

Me: Hey you

J: Where are you at?

Me: I'm at United Stars Lanes. Are you coming? (Being hopeful).

J: How long are you going to be there?

Me: Maybe a few hours... So, it's about 6:30PM right now.. Maybe til 9 or 10?

J: Dang... Um.. I gotta tell you something...

Me:.... Yeah?

J: I cannot make it tonight.

Me:... *lost hope.... Ok..

J: I'm really sorry Ori. My family really need me tonight.

Me:... No... I understand...

J: I'm really sorry...

Me:... Yeah it's ok

J: Are you sure? You're not mad at me are you?

Me:.... No... Life happens, it's ok.. maybe next time.

J: Thanks Ori :)

Me: Yeah.. No problem..

J: You have fun ok.

Me: Yeah... same with you... I gotta bowl... I'll text you soon..

J: Sounds good.

Me: Yep..

I looked at my phone and turned the screen black.

Dang, I thought to myself... I was really looking forward to seeing him and being with him. Oh wells... I guess it is what it is..

I bowled.

My sister in law, Julie approached me..

Julie: Hey.. What's wrong? Isn't Jackson coming?

Me: No..... He's not..

Julie: Awww, I'm sorry. Maybe next time.

Me: Yeah.....

I sat down in a seat and was quiet.. Thinking how fun it'll be if he was here...

I guess... there's always next time....
