Tongue-tied

"Remember when we first had a date?" Max asked out of the blue, while he moved at a normal speed, her arms wrapping around his waist.

Emma blushed at the remembrance, but then she also recalled that it was after then that Long Yi was encountered and things changed drastically.

"Hmm?" He seems to be awaiting a response.

"Yes, I do." She followed her heart that wanted to flow with this moment, but she wouldn't deny that something at the back of her head was scared of this progress.

It was like her head was against this, but her heart wanted it.

Max chuckled softly. "I'm glad you do. I was so mesmerized by your beauty then and all that was on my mind while you were talking was how your lips will feel against mine." 

Emma's heart went into a frenzy immediately.

She blinked profusely and her body began to get uncontrollably warm.
