2 She's dead (2)

You might be wondering why Olivia got a limousine, just because they want her to attend an event.

So, here is your answer.

They wanted her to be present, because of the family of four that were approaching them right now.

A sexy tall young man with oceanic blue eyes, framed with butterfly long lashes that could rival a female's own and thick full brows that complimented it just perfectly.

A seductive dimple on both sides of his cheeks that could make a woman's toes curl if she witnessed him smile, which he rarely did, as he liked keeping his thin pink lips in the same position.

His delicious body was hugged by a lucky Armani black suit, with his black hair gelled all the way back, making his beautiful face more vivid without any obstruction from falling hairs

His name was Maximilian Walker. He's the main reason Olivia was needed at this event by her parents, also the reason her uncle wanted her dead today.

Max just recently returned from abroad and took over his family's cooperation, making him one of the youngest CEOs in X city.

Their parents were close acquaintances and had made plans to get Olivia and Max together.

Their plans started as of today, as few things were planned beforehand.

They wanted to collaborate to strengthen their power and protect each other if the need arises.

Both families were strong and will become untouchable if they could seal a marriage bond.

It's one of the reasons why most could only gawk at Olivia, but couldn't express their interest. No one wanted to get on the bad side of the Smiths.

Walking beside Max, was a fifteen year old girl, with a blonde hair that barely passed her shoulders, which was forced into a bun, but has few strands protruding and pointing their sharp edges all over, giving it a messy look.

She looked cute and could be mistaken as a 10 years old girl.

She was putting on a simple yet expensive knee length blue and pink matrix gown and holding Max's hand, as the siblings loved each other very much.

If Max laughed out of nowhere, please look around, cause his sister Emily must be somewhere around.

And walking in front of the duo were their parents. Both in their late fifties, with the same blonde hair as Emily, making Max the odd one.

Emily, being a simple minded girl, was stunned when she saw Olivia and wondered how someone could look this beautiful.

Getting closer to Olivia's table, Max maintained a stoic expression, while Emily kept staring at Olivia.

Olivia's parents  got up on their feet immediately and began exchanging pleasantries with each other.

Max said his greetings to the couple politely and didn't miss the admiration in their eyes, while Emily did the same.

Now it's Olivia's turn to greet the family.

Max's eyes snapped towards Olivia, who was busy smiling at the praises she's getting on Instagram for her limousine and refused to even look up at them.

And when she did, "why are you stepping on my foot, mommy?" She asked in annoyance, as her mother was trying to secretly get her attention.

Max bit down on his lower lip, trying to suppress his anger as his parents seemed to want the girl to greet them, despite how she's behaving.

He wished that they should just walk away from there.

"Greet the Walkers family." Her Dad spoke up.

"Oh!" Olivia exclaimed and finally looked up at the Walkers, as if she just noticed their presence.

Her gaze locked with Emily, that was looking at her with her eyes glowing. Olivia waved her left fingers at the girl, before looking up at the old couple. "Hi! Enjoy the event Mr and Mrs Walker." She said and looked at Max, who wasn't staring at her direction any longer.

"And you too, dude." She added and that's all. She returned to browsing her phone.

Mrs Laura Smith gave an awkward laugh, "I'm so sorry for her method of greeting. She woke up in a bad mood today." She said and the couple laughed it off, claiming that they understand her.

"Mom, can we leave please?" Max spoke up in his deep sexy voice that was laced with annoyance.

Immediately they left, "Olivia, how could you greet elders like that?" her mother asked.

What worries them was how they could tell that Max was pissed.

"I didn't come here to be greeting people. Moreover, I did say 'hi' to them." She said nonchalantly.

....

Immediately Max and his family settled down on their seat, "she's so beautiful." Emily said.

"But was deprived of a brain. Grow up well, dear." Max replied.

He didn't see any use of beauty without a brain. And also the way she dressed, was as if she's about to get engaged.

She's a beauty, he wouldn't deny that, but he didn't like her character, not that he was supposed to anyway.

He was also glad that she doesn't seem interested in him as most females do when they came across him, which of course is a good thing.

He wanted both of them to just go their separate ways.

His parents glanced at each other as they could hear their conversation. If Max has started hating Olivia, how can they build a relationship.

"Olivia is a good girl. You heard her mother, she wasn't in a good mood today." His mother spoke up.

Max picked up his glass that had some red content in it and took a few sips. "What's my business with her mood? I'm only asking Emily not to get infected, or do you want her to grow up as an idiot with mood fluctuation in an event, as well?" He asked.

Her sister chuckled and tugged his arm, "brother, that was rude." She said.

Max scoffed, before looking at Olivia's directions. "Look at her, Emily. Does she seem affected?" He asked and patted his sister's head, "grow up well." he added.

His parents couldn't retort and could tell that the road ahead for the two wouldn't be an easy one.

Just as Max said, Olivia was still feeling like the best in the hall, as the stare on her kept increasing as guests arrived, making her parents feel a bit embarrassed, but they wanted to hook her up with Max and didn't want to get on her bad side.

She's capable of leaving the place and heads home if they offend her with their words.

But for the first time, they also felt that her outfit wasn't proper for this occasion.

Those stares didn't make them proud about their daughter's beauty, but embarrassed.

After a few minutes, the host officially started the occasion, by calling upon their special guests to open it with a dance.

Max was stunned when they called his name. Not just his name, but the titles that followed, which consisted of eligible bachelor, youngest CEO and blah blah, before Max Walker followed.

A round of applause resounded in the hall, while the females present wish that they are the partner that will get selected.

Olivia raised her brow as her name was called as well and looked at her parents.

They've once told her about being friends with a so-called Max, but she wasn't expecting them to embarrass her, by asking her to dance with him.

While Max had walked towards the space in between the guests, Olivia refused to stand up.

Her parents started pleading with her, "it's just a dance baby, you can do it….."

She finally rolled her eyes and stood up under the waiting stare of the people present.

Everyone could tell that she was forced to stand up.

Max felt enraged, but calmed himself as she made her way to join him.

She stood erect like a rock in front of him, with her lips still pouted and expression marred with anger.

Leaning slightly, so that his lips nearly touch her left ear. "Can you do me a favour and let's get this over with and then you can get out of my sight." Max whispered, straightened his back and snaked his hand around her waist, before she could find her voice.

Olivia's body stiffened as their body met.

He smelled so nice and his hold was very strong and manly.

She was about to compliment his voice in her head when the content became clear to her.

"How dare you!" She said in a soft tone, as Max has started moving in rhythm with the music, forcefully moving her slender body  along with him.

.....

Meanwhile.

"Target locked." A hooded man that had been hiding within the vicinity, a sniper to be exact, informed someone through the Bluetooth device in his ear, while his rifle positioned towards Olivia from a small hole dug in the ceiling, at a very far end of the hall.

"Kill her."

Immediately the man received a go ahead, he concentrated, so he wouldn't miss his target.

Olivia was still raining soft curses on Max, when she suddenly gasped.

Max thought she was joking, as her body lost its balance.

"Blooood!" Max's sister suddenly screamed, making Max's eyes widened, as wet liquid dripped onto his hand that was placed at Olivia's back.

The whole place was filled with exclaims, as no one knew what was happening.

Olivia's mother has passed out already, while his father remained frozen like a statue.

They weren't stupid to see that the shot fired, already met Olivia's heart, as it was that exact spot it collided with her, from behind.

Max was now on his knees with Olivia's dead body in his arms. "She's dead." he muttered in disbelief.
