65 Nothing Lasts Forever

2016, April 21, Thursday, 7:47 PM; Konner House, My Room

Despite the excitement last night, I still had to go to work earlier this morning. I had a long night too but I was finally able to sleep peacefully after many days. Perhaps because I was at ease now that my plans were happening.

Fortunately, I thought of gagging the guy in the basement. Rick, I mean. Not that uncle would need one, seeing as he was already quiet.

Rick was really loud last night. You would have thought I already started his torture. Besides, it was not like his attempts to make noises could be heard by the neighbors, when I repeatedly told him that Mrs. Cruz was not at home. And it was only the three of us in this house.

Anyway, I still had to gag him once the torture started, which was a good thing too for my sleep. Rick should be used to the pain by now, and could crawl on his own later. In case he wanted to escape, I won't stop him. That has been my plan all along, not to kill him.

Since I woke up this morning, my mind was full of stuff. What should I do next? How should I act around everyone else?

My thoughts were further jumbled when I received another message from Eli. It was during lunch break, when I opted to eat alone in my cubicle, therefore, nobody noticed me as I frantically tidied my lunch even when I haven't eaten half of it yet.

After making sure I still had time, I went to the building's fire exit to call my brother. It wouldn't do to be caught talking about something incriminating once my colleagues returned from their lunch outside.

I was able to catch Eli on his break too. Slightly surprised with my call, he repeated his message that he already got permission to leave the training camp this afternoon after their day's activities.

Him returning was really not part of my plan. Trying not to act suspicious, I told him that maybe he should move his return to tomorrow. He would surely be tired once his day's training was finished and then, he had to return to another stressful situation in the house.

As usual, my baby brother was reluctant, since he had to depend on me again and was making me worry, but he still listened to my advice. He would take a deserved rest tonight and take the first bus tomorrow morning. That would make him arrive at the house tomorrow night, in time for my getting off work too.

Now, I'm ready for the final part of my plan. It was actually useless to write this entry when I had to burn all my diaries later. Having a written confession of my activities and Eli's as well would be a detriment to my plans, so I had to destroy this.

However, I still chose to do write something to clear my mind. I also scanned all the entries before writing this one and, let's just say it was a somewhat a fun read. Although a rather weird one.

Looking back, I really wrote a lot even before we moved to this house, before dad died. I don't even remember me writing about my mom even though she was already supposed to be dead before I even wrote my first entry. Reading about those entries was scarier than reading about my first kill and such. I hope the cold I'm feeling in my nape was not mom or dad checking out what I'm writing.

Okay! I'll forget those scary thoughts now, stop writing and move on with my plan. This is my last entry. Again, this is Sean, Sean Fenris, saying goodbye!
