44 Nothing Else to Do

20XX, May 21, Tuesday; Rick's Apartment

I think it's been years since I've written here on two consecutive days. Anyway, I currently have nothing to do here in Rick's apartment since he stepped outside to take a call. I never saw or asked who it was so I don't know how long the call will take. Maybe it was about Chase returning or a business with the family—especially after the party last weekend.

It's not like I'm not curious who he was talking to that he had to step outside. But we always maintain a somewhat private side that we could keep from each other if we don't want to share it. I trust him, yes, but I also have other things I don't just reveal to him. Like this diary. He knows I have one but he never thought of reading it. Anyway, I don't get those other girlfriends who always had to be in the know of what was going on with their boyfriend's life.

So here I am, alone in the couch. Finals was almost done and we had a break this afternoon so Rick asked me to spend time with him in his apartment near the university. It's not my first time here.

The first time I was here, I was nervous of course, since it was the first time I've been in a guy's room too, except my brother's. That didn't happen with my first boyfriend so it was a new experience. The second time, I managed to cure my curiosity about the place. Rick let me look around while he was reading on the couch. Well, I never found anything surprising.

Nowadays, we often spend time here instead of the library since we can't do much flirting or making out or other stuff in the library. Obviously. The first time we had s*x together was here, and he was really surprised that I was not a virgin. I never told him about Luke though, just that I had a boyfriend in high school which should be quite normal for most.

Well, I'm kind of used to it. His father was transitioning some of their projects to him so he could handle them once he graduated. So now, I'm alone in the couch, waiting if we could have one round before going back to campus.

As I was waiting, I thought of Rick's birthday next Friday. Now, I'm deciding on what to give him but he told me it's enough for him if I just spend the time with him. Too corny.

I can see him since the terrace doors were made of glass and it looked like his call was ending. He just smiled at me so I'll put this away now and think of the gift next time.
