55 I'm Almost Done?!

20XX, September 6, Friday; Konner House, My Room

Huh? This is really weird. I guess my luck has been really good? Something like, heaven was finally answering my prayers or whatever?

Yesterday noon, Nicole and Eric had a fight. It was even in the campus cafeteria. However, I chose not to finish watching the show, it was just a repeat of the previous one so it was boring.

I had my usual classes that afternoon. I've been focusing all my attention to Rick's friends nowadays that I'm neglecting my studies. I still have to think of being able to graduate next year, especially if I am planning to support Eli in his once he is in college.

There was no significant things that happened during that afternoon, but then, last night, as I was getting to bed after I finished my shower, I received a reply from Nicole. I didn't get one this weekend when I sent the mild one so I was planning to send another but then, there was that fight yesterday.

With this email, however, Nicole was bursting with her opinions on what I should do with my life instead of trying to break the relationship of SUCH A LOVING COUPLE. What the heck?! That's what you call loving? Then, I really wouldn't want to try it again.

I don't want to copy her full email here in my diary but the gist of it was that Eric explained what that video was about. According to him, the girls were his cousin and her friends, and he introduced them to Jason so they could also help familiarize him around town since Eric was planning to spend more time with Nicole but he couldn't leave Jason to just anybody. What a sweet guy. He even got the cousin, which Nicole was acquainted with, to talk to her to and explain the situation.

Now that Jason has died, Eric was also "devastated" that he couldn't properly take care of him, making Nicole guilty for hogging all the time of her boyfriend. She said she "really trusts her Eric". Her words. I could just sigh at her naivety.

Fortunately for Eric too, he actually went to Nicole's that night after he sobered up a little. For Nicole, that meant nothing happened with the girls. So, I should just leave them alone and get on with my trash life. But her version was harsher than that.

Then, they had dinner last night which was a sweet surprise from Eric even though he didn't need to do it because he was not at fault.

Oh well, being the good person that I am, I sent her another video. I actually thought she wouldn't even open the email, what more with the video, since she "really trusts" him. I fell deeply asleep after that good deed.

Then, just this afternoon, a televised breaking news program was titled, "Lovers Quarrel Turned Attempted Murder-Suicide".

I have not much to tell about it except for what I've seen on the news. Just this morning, the cleaning lady who does Nicole's apartment every day went to work as usual. When she opened the door, she saw it was unlocked which was different from the apartment's owner's attitude since this cleaning lady was once scolded for not locking the door while she went out to throw away the trash, planning to return again.

Although she was slightly bothered, she ignored it and proceeded to enter the house. Her cleaning starts with the bedroom, then the kitchen/dining on the other side, then finally, the living room.

After she was done with the bedroom, which was mostly untouched, she went to the kitchen/dining room. Sometimes, the house owner stays with her boyfriend so she never bothered with the bedroom anymore.

However, what she saw in the kitchen horrified her. A man's body was over a pool of blood, as he was lying face down on the floor with a knife protruding from his back.

The cleaning lady was about to scream when she heard a sobbing sound behind the kitchen counter. Although afraid, she walked over and saw the apartment's owner slashing her wrist with a fork while staring at the body beside her, tears falling down her eyes.

She immediately fumbled with her phone to call an ambulance. Well, Nicole was still staying in the hospital but I heard she was just depressed. As for Eric, he's dead.
