5 Dad Scolded Me Again Today

20XX, October XX; Home

This is the entry that got wet when I chased the cat in the pond. It's kinda a bother to rewrite but I want you to know why I was in the park longer that time. Aside from because I was chasing the cat. My dad shouldn't have caught me loitering but I stayed at the park longer that time.

Hey! Sean again here. It's been a few days since I last wrote here. My dad had a lot of work these past few weeks so, most of the time, I have to take care of Eli.

I think there was a murder from the next town over and the suspect was not caught yet so they also asked the surrounding local police stations for help.

Well, my dad was the chief of police in our town, in case you forgot I already told this. So he's busy.

My dad doesn't smoke or drink but he still gets stressed at work so he takes it out at home. He scolds us but he doesn't shout so the neighbors won't hear. He's always concerned what the neighbors think.

Last night, I was the one who cooked dinner since dad was still working overtime and mom was still crying in their room. I learned how to cook simple meals a year ago but mostly, I just heat up the leftovers.

Well, I fetched Eli from daycare after school then heated up the leftovers before playing with Eli.

I guess I forgot the cooking so it burned. When dad got home, he saw that soooo... I got another scolding.

It's so unfair. I'm just a kid. Why doesn't he scold mom? Sometimes, he doesn't even talk to mom. Should I just cry too? But I never cried. Not that I remember. Maybe when I was still a baby. I don't cry now when dad scolds me. Just bowed my head and wait until he finished. Then I write my thoughts here.

The scolding last night was longer than usual so I fell asleep immediately after. Only writing this now after class.
