The Babe in Crystal

When Amar open his eyes he saw that he was no longer in the clearing. He was standing on a plain about one square kilometer in size. There was no sky, just darkness above. The only light came from the center of the grassy plain where there was an island sorrunded by a lake of clear water. On the island there was a huge crystal that was floating gently above the ground.

Wondering if the crystal was the door to heaven he moved in it direction. As Amar walked closer to the lake. He felt a subtly pressure, building with every step he took. The closer he got the lake the stronger the pressure he felt, however, he did not feel the pressure externally on his body but on his veins, as if his blood got heavier and was being suppressed.

He gritted his teeth and marched on, wondering if this was the test to enter heaven, as he got to the bank of the lake he saw that at each vertex of the pentagram was an alter and the crystal floated above the center of the pentagram. What shocked him though was that at the heart of that gigantic crystal was a girl sleeping, dressed in a red robe with golden trimmings, here long black, silky hair flowing behind her back. She did not look older than Amar, who was about to be fifteen, she was beautiful, with shapely eyebrows, plump lips, a cute nose and a high cheek bone that were sculpted by the heavens itself.

As Amar looked closer he saw that there were exquisite runes, symbols and geometric designs drawn all over the crystal that encased the girl. Intrigued he forgot all about the suppression of his blood and began to look for a way to get to the island, as he walked around the back of the lake he came upon a bridge that led to the island. As he approached he found that the bridge had an arched gateway with a think stone door shut firmly.

On the door a serpent-like creature with a pair of feathered wings was carved, It looked quite life like, Amar swore that it was staring at him. When he touched the lines of golden script showed up on the door, they were foreign to Amar but surprisingly he could understand what they meant.

" Fated One, welcome to the refuge of my last hope and family, the girl you see sleeping in the crystal is my daughter. The last living 'Heavenly Winged Dragon'. Our clan was attacked by our unknown forces, caught unprepared we were slowly being defeated. To protect a few young ones were fought one last bloody, bitter battle.

It is unknown how many, if any survived. For you to enter this minature world, it means that you have the 'Heavenly Winged Dragon' bloodline flowing in your veins, regardless of how thin and inconsequential the concentration was. I have seal my daughter in this 'Divine Elemental Array'. It can preserve her life for untold eons once sealed. Upon being exposed to mortal breath the seal will gradually lose its power. So after you enter this minature world you have one hundred years to gather the necessary materials to unseal the first of the five seals so as to revive my princess.

This minature world was created from a 'Chaos Dimensional Jade' and is meant to fuse with a person's soul once bound by blood. Should you fail to unseal the first seal, the jade with self destruct and will kill you and destroy your divine soul.

To unseal the first seal you would require a core of a Tier 5 wind elemental lifeform, the complete body or skeleton of a serpent creature that has survived for three thousand years, which has natural affinity with the wind element, the essence blood of an Earl level bloodline with wind element affinity and a Heavenly Treasure, the 'Longevity Peach'.

Each of the five seal corresponds to an element the first is wind, the second is water, the third is earth, fourth is fire and the last is lightning."

Amar was speechless, completely dumbfounded, he didn't even know where to find a Tier 5 existance or what exactly is a Heavenly Treasure, much less what was an Earl-level bloodline. Where was he gonna get the 'Longevity Peach' and if he didn't get them all he would die and have his soul destroyed.

"Fuck!!, how much do you love your daughter?", Amar complained, "Well at least I have one hundred years to enjoy, maybe I won't live that long either way. Wait there is more, let's see what more does this old geezer have to say."

He continued reading, " To accomplish these assigned tasks I have duplicated and stored most of my knowledge in 'Memory Orbs' behind the stone gate. To access each memory you must pass a trial to ensure that you are not biting more that you can chew. Also I have placed a 'Bloodline Suppression Array' on the door, which means that to open the door, your bloodline needs to be of a certain concentration. I have also prepared many treasures, herbs, arrays and weapons for you, how ever you must pass the required trials first.

Last but not least I have prepared a few advanced gifts for you, a bottle of 'Heavenly Winged Dragon' blood essence to enrich your bloodline concentration, a 'Body and Soul Cleansing Pill' to ensure a proper foundation and a cultivation art that can both increase your cultivation and bloodline concentration, 'Dragon's Greed'. With this art you can absorb some of the 'Life Essence', 'Soul Essence' and 'Blood Essence' from a lifeform that you have killed to increase your cultivation and bloodline concentration. You should be warned that my clan was destroyed because of this art, so it must remain an absolute secret, or it may bring calamity down upon you.

You should first take the 'Body and Soul Cleansing Pill', then the blood essence then you should cultivated the cultivation art."

Amar sighed, 'a clan was destroyed because of this art?' he thought. How can a clan strong enough to create this world be destroyed? What level of strength would be needed to accomplish the destruction to such a scale that only one member survived after being sealed for eons? For the first time in his very short life, Amar felt how tiny he really was. Killing an ork? What did that amount to? He was no longer feeling accomplished about being able to venture into the 'Great Wilvar' alone.

Amar did not even realise that his temperament changed after he resolutely swore to himself that he would cultivate himself to be the strongest existence in the universe and to protect to beauty, whose name he didn't even know.

Amar read the last few remaining lines and learned that the laws of the minature world were incomplete and needed spiritual force to evolve and mature. Also the the time was set at one hour in the outside world was equal to ten hours in the minature world, and as the world matured the time dilation ratio would increase also. Further more the soil was very fertile, conducive to plant herbs and rearing Heavenly Treasures and the last line went, " Fated One, this old man knows that he has been shameless but please take care of my daughter and ensure that she lives happily and forget about vengeance. Thank you."
