35 Awkward Position

After finishing up the pizza and going through the entire bottle of wine, it was time to call it a day. 

"I think that second pizza was a mistake," Maddy said as she practically crawled into the kitchen with the used plates and put them into the sink. With a hand over her stomach, she groaned in distress. 

I nodded in agreement as I put away the wine glasses. "Do you think he's convinced now?" I whispered, jerking my head in the direction of the living room where Jordan and Jeremy were sitting together talking sports. 

"I think Jordan played the part a little too well. Are you sure he's not an actor?" 

I lifted the empty bottle of wine from the counter, "Well, that's a goner." I threw it into the trash can.

"You know this was a one-time exception," she said referring to the alcohol.
