59 Mission: Virus

It was time. The heroes are about to face their strongest opponent yet. When they reached the northern part of the city, it was an all new land. Buildings were whole, there were no burning cars on the road, and there were no dead bodies anywhere too. In the screens of the tall buildings, a video of Selena's Purge rule was being continuously played. Ruby, Harith, Roger, Clint and Franco were seriously injured. All the S.A.B.E.R. agents disappeared all of a sudden, and all of Franco's men died. Group Alpha was the only one that made it this far to the northern part of Eruditio. Yi sent his men to take the injured heroes to a safe place to rest. It was Gusion, Lesley, Rooney, Claude, Alucard, Commander Yi, Layla and Leomord who made it to the control center. It was heavily protected by an electric fence, lots of demon guards and security cameras. It was a tall tower, with a big research facility below it.

"Heroes, huddle up." Yi said, as the others gathered around him. "Gusion, Alucard, Lesley and Leomord, take the front and find Selena. Layla, Claude, Rooney and I will go behind. We're going to try and hack the system. You guys cause a distraction.

"Wait, we can't just go inside and kill everyone. Those aliens are heavily armed, and Selena will know we're here." Lesley said.

"We disguise as soldiers. You'll be our hostage." Gusion said.

"What? Then how are we gonna get suits like theirs?" Alucard asked.

Suddenly, Claude took a guard's outfit from his bag. He used his cloning machine to multiply it.

"Here you go." he said.

"Genius! My cloning machine is the best!" Rooney said.

"Okay, let's split up now. Let's go!"

Gusion and Alucard dressed up as soldiers. They used fake handcuffs on Lesley, to make it look like she was captured.

"Let's go now." Gusion said.

And they walked towards the electric gate. The Kastiyan guards opened the gate for them, as they walked forward. They dropped Lesley on the ground, causing everyone to look at them. While the soldiers were distracted, Leomord snuck inside the building and hid in a room.

"Kastiyans, we have found another hero!" Gusion shouted.

On the other side of the building, Yi and the others got inside the building. They took out a surveillance room, and killed all the demons inside.

"Okay, so Gusion and the others are there. If we hack it, Selena would know that we're here." Yi said.

"We disable it." Rooney said.

Layla took out her laptop and attached it to a wire through the cameras. She managed to hack through the main surveillance room. She then disabled all the cameras, and everything went blank.

"Paxley, now." Layla whispered.

Alucard and Gusion took out their swords and slashed through all the guards. Since the cameras were disabled, Selena couldn't see what was happening. She was watching from the main laboratory of the facility, where her armoe was being developed.

"Moskov, could you check the surveillance room downstairs?" Selena asked. "I lost control of all the cameras."

"Yeah. I'll go down."

Moskov had his spear in his hand. Yi and the others hid behind the door, as he heard Moskov coming. Yi drew his longbow, and Layla charged her cannon. When Moskov opened the door, he had nowhere to go.

"Surprise!"

And boom! Moskov got knocked to the wall, and fell unconscious. An arrow stuck in his chest as Yi fired his longbow. He had absorbed too much Malefic energy.

"Let's check the building."

Rooney started typing in codes in his laptop. He saw an x-ray view of the building. There were no soldiers guarding anyone else. They saw Selena in the main Laboratory.

"Mission, Paxley-02, Vance-03, Hunter-05, Leo-67, do you copy?" Layla said.

"Malefic, what's your status?" Gusion asked.

"We managed to barge in and hack through all security cameras. There are no more guards in the front building. Proceed to the main lab, I'm sending a map."

On Gusion's holowatch, an illustration of the building was projected. A red mark indicated Selena's location.

"Got it. More demons could be hiding in the building."

"No worries. We're guarding the room."

Alucard and Gusion took off their guard uniforms, and freed Lesley. They walked inside, and followed the red mark.

"Leomord, what's your status?"

"I'm hiding inside the main laboratory. She's relaxing."

"Good. We'll be there."

On the other side of the building. Yi and Rooney was guarding the room. Claude and Layla were finding the generator room, to disable the electric currents throughout the building.

"Leomord, is Selena wearing her armor?" Layla asked.

"Negative. Her armor is inside a tube."

"Wear your night vision goggles as the building goes dark, okay?"

"Got it."

Gusion, Alucard and Lesley had already reached the main laboratory. When Selena saw the three heroes, she smiled.

"Oh, my! We have visitors!" she said.

"We're here to end your reign here Selena. The Purge must stop, and we're going to end you!" Alucard shouted.

"Awww. That's cute, unfortunately that wont stop me. I'm too powerful you see."

"We'll see about that!"

Alucard and Gusion drew their swords. Lesley aimed her rifle at Selena's head. She was standing still, laughing. Suddenly, when she snapped her hands, two minigun turrets came from the ground.

"Attack!"

Alucard got his Obsidian shield, and blocked the bullets. Gusion and Lesley stood behind him.

"Hahahahaha! Switching to laser fire."

The turrets began firing laser beams. Gusion went in front, carrying a light orb in his hands.

"Aegis!!!"

A yellow force field protected them. Eventually, his energy shield gave out.

"Switching to grenade launcher, fire!"

The three of them jumped to the side, as the projectile exploded upon impact. They were down on the ground. Selena then began to fire magical projectiles from her hands.

"Abyssal Arrow! Abyssal Trap!"

Her skill trapped Alucard in place. Her Abyssal Arrow stunned Alucard for a while. After that, her robot demon attacked Alucard, knocking him off the ground.

"It might be time Selena. Use your armor!"

"What the heck? Was that technology, or was that dark magic???" Alucard asked.

"No, it's power."

Selena got inside her tube and started to take over her robot demon form. Gusion attacked the tube, but it was too hard, as it bounced him off him his feet. Finally, Selena finished her transformation.

"Let's not waste our time. Let's finsh this at once!" Selena said.

"Obsidian Blade, activate!"

"Stellaris Ghost, activate!"

"Cyber Ops activate!"

The three heroes transformed their armors. Alucard rode his motorcycle, and Lesley fired powerful shots at Selena. Suddenly, Leomord jumped on top of the ceiling, raising up his Oath Breaker. Selena saw the attack and pierced her blade onto Leomord's body. Leomord dropped his sword, as blood came out of his body. The three heroes stoppes for a moment, as Selena threw his body to the ground.

"Hahahahahaha! Pathetic."

"Come to me... Barbiel..." Leo whispered.

"Leo, no!"

Selena struck her blades at Leomord once again, this time at his neck. He was unsuccessful trying to call Barbiel. More blood dripped onto the ground, and Leomord fell down again. He had his eyes closed, and his white armor drenched in blood.

"L-Leo..."

"Tell Lunox, I'm sorry." he whispered.

And Leomord slowly lost his conscience. His dead body laid on the ground, covered in blood. Slowly, his body started to disperse into glowing dust.

"Your turn!!!"

All of a sudden, the heroes lost control of their armor. Alucard's motorcycle threw him off his seat, and started running over him. Lesley's rifle shot onto her body, blasting her armor, and knocking her down. When Gusion threw his swords, it went straight back at him. It turned out, Selena was contolling them.

"I-Is this the Virus?" Gusion asked.

"Powerful right? This was the weapon I used to take control the city. And now, all you poor humans started to kill each other. Awwww you people are so weak!"

"You screwed..."

Gusion disabled his armor and took his Holy Blade in his hand. On his other hand, he held another Holy Blade, but this time, it was glowing dark. Selena smiled as she saw.his weapons.

"Amazing! A Twilight! This fight will be fun." she said.

"You control one element, I can do both." Gusion replied.

The two clashed their blades. Gusion ran circles around her, slashing and slashing through her armor. Her demon attacked him, but then he switched from a sword, into a scythe. Selena's eyes widened.

"Wow! I've never done that my entire life!"

"This is for Ruby!"

Gusion attacked with his scythe, destroying her demon in one hit.

"W-What? You bastard..."

Selena slashed her blades onto his body. Gusion dropped his weapons, and the scythe disappeared into the air. Lesley ran towards him. Suddenly, he got back to his feet, and grabbed his sword.

"Limit Break!"

Gusion dashed in, throwing ten swords towards Selena. It hit her armor core, and it began malfunctioning. She became angry.

"Take this!"

Selena threw her Obsidian Assassin armor towards Lesley, but she dodged the attack.

Suddenly, the power went out. Layla and Claude arrived just in time, readying their weapons.

"Huh? More of you???"

"Time to shine!"

Layla fired a Malefic bomb towards Selena. Claude and Dexter began their Blazing Duet, continuously shooting Selena. She got knocked on the ground. When she got up, she showed a very serious face.

"Enough games! Disable!"

Selena fired an electromagnetic wave from her hands, disabling Layla and Claude's weapons. Alucard and Lesley's suits also shut down. They were heavily wounded. Gusion came in to attack and slashed Selena's body one time. Selena used her dark magic and fired at Gusion and Claude, knocking them both down.

"Your reign ends here Selena!" Layla shouted.

Without her cannon, Layla used her knowledge of martial arts. A fistfight began. Selena and Layla exchanged blows. Layla knocked her down with one powerful kick. Selena

The surveillance room went online again, as Rooney's laptop got hacked by the Virus. The two guys started running towards the main lab, only to be stopped by a closing door. She put the entire building on lockdown. Yi and Rooney got stuck between two doors.

"Paxley, Vance, do you copy? Does anyone copy???" Yi said.

They were running out of air. Yi realized his microphone wasn't working, as it also got hit by Selena's EMP blast.

"Help! Help!"

Selena could see the two struggling as she saw on the monitors on the lab. She laughed continuously. Gusion who got back on his feet one last time, drew his sword.

"Limit... Break!"

His ten swords stabbed Selena on the back. Gusion fell on the ground, draining all his mana. Now that everyone was down, Selena won the fight, but there were still ten swords hanging from her back. She was in pain, as the stabs were very deep. Blood gushed out her wounds.

"Was... that... enough?..." Gusion whispered to himself, laying on the ground.

Selena healed her wounds with her magic spell. Gusion's eyes widened, as Selena got back to normal. She started laughing maniacally, walking through the wounded bodies of everyone else.

"N-No... I... failed?..."

Selena stepped on Gusion's sword and broke in half. She was standing tall among everyone else. She took out two dark orbs on her hands and raised it up into the air. Gusion's memories started flashing between his eyes. He saw the times he hung out with Layla in the Mage Academy. He saw himself playing with Ruby back in the S.A.B.E.R. Tower, then suddenly, he saw Lesley beside him, under the night sky lit up by fireworks. Tears filled his eyes, when he saw Lesley's smile one last time.

"I love you Gusion... I want to stay with you till the end of time...

"In the end, the one who defies the Abyss will lose their life. This is the end of the road. Bye bye!"

"Not yet!"

Gusion stabbed Selena again. Summoning all his dark magic once again, he cast a giant sword. With tears of determination, he attacked.

"Bloodbath... Thrust!!!!!!!"

The giant sword cut Selena's hands off. She cried in pain, as blood and more blood came out. The sword disappeared into the air, and Gusion lost his conscience.

"It hurts! It hurts!!!"

Now that everyone was down, Selena won the fight, not until...

"Hiyaaaaaa!!!!!"

"N-No!!!!!!"

Aldous smashed through the entire building, using his Chase Fate. He then jumped high in the air, and punched Selena. The ground had cracked. Selena was lying on the ground, dead. Her body disappeared as a portal dragged her body down. The lockdown system was disabled. Yi and Rooney came in running towards the lab, out of breath. All the heroes were on the ground. Aldous gathered them all up as Rooney and Yi helped out.

"Aldous, thank you." Yi said.

"Yeah. Now go get rid of that Purge rule." Aldous replied.

Yi hurriedly ran over to the control room. He started recording himself:

"Attention everyone. The Purge rule is now lifted. Anyone caught in action of the purging will be apprehended."

And all over the city of Eruditio, his message scattered. Everyone who was fighting stopped. Suddenly, vehicles from Antoinerei came to fetch all the survivors.

"We did it Yi! We won!" Rooney said.

"I guess we did."

Yi summoned a circle of light, surrounding all the heroes on the ground.

"Arrival, Moniyan Empire! We're going home heroes. We won."
