'My head really hurts...'

This was Ye Ran's first thought upon waking up, it hurts so badly that it seemed as his skull about to crack apart.

A lot of strange foreign memories assaulted his mind.

He dreamed about living as someone that's also called Ye Ran in another world, where not a single horse in sight, yet they were replaced with a strange shaped steel installed with tires that moves hundreds of times faster than horse could ever run, a world where industrial revolution has taken place. This is a completely different world from his where technologies is way more advanced.

In his dream, he was just a boy from a poor family, he wanted to escape poverty so he studied very hard, he spends all of his childhood reading books and learning since it's his dream to become a scientist. All of those works weren't for vain, he always ended up at the top of his class.

Until one day near his high school graduation, a stranger in black suit approached him,

"Do you want to become rich?" that man asked Ye Ran

"Yes of course, but who are you? why are you asking me this?" Ye Ran answered but also inquired the stranger.

That man showed him a card, in middle of it there's a logo of hammer and sickle interwoven with wings on either side and it's written 'Ministry of State Security'.

"Come with me"

That man took him into a government building, Ye Ran didn't even know why he agreed to follow that man but when they got into an official state place he felt a little bit assured.

They entered a room, it must be an office, the world map hanged on the wall, a pile of papers stacked on the table and in front of it, sits a middle aged man on a brown leather chair, his hair was thinning and with his glasses and black suit he must be a government official.

"Oh, you've come, please have a sit!" that man directed those words to Ye Ran

Ye Ran timidly sits right across the table

"You must be wondering why we bring you here, but I'm just gonna be straight to the point here, we want you to be our spy agent."

What?

"In this new era of cold war, the most lethal weapon exists in information and technology. So we've infiltrated and espionage all countries on this planet, everywhere from their colleges, their everyday technology use, and even in their high level state of government." That man added

"So, I want you to go to this country, you'll attend a college, graduate, become their citizen, eventually you will work in one of their secretive advanced laboratory."

"There, you can assimilate, work as usual and bring the 'homework' to one of our men."

Ye Ran was listening throughout the whole time, it was his dream to become a scientist, but never in his deepest mind that he would be offered not just to become an ordinary scientist, but also a spy!

He was just a passionate youth then, he was very nationalist and the idea of becoming a spy for his country sounds very appealing to him.

"What do I get from all of this?" Ye Ran asked

The man smiled and opened his mouth "We'll take care of you and your family, any sport car you want to buy you can buy, if you wanna start a family your wealth would be enough to sustain three wives and ten childrens. At some point you can even come back here if you want."

Ye Ran pondered deeply, one of the reasons stated by that man seemed to convince him.

Eventually the meeting ended with a handshake, the men in black that accompanied Ye Ran drives him home as it is a sign of a new journey that lies ahead.

"Young Master, you have woken up!" a bald man with a long white beard in a white attire shouted
