Chapter 64: Stranger

-Jay's House-

"Manny!" Jay yelled to call his stepson after hanging up the call from Mitch.

"Yes?" Manny descended the stairs and stopped midway to ask.

"We're going to Mitchel's. Something has happened. I don't want you to worry, but Ryan and Alex are in a dangerous situation. Your mother will go over there with Phil to sort things out."

"What kind of situation?" Manny asked.

Jay rubbed his chin, contemplating whether to tell Manny the exact details.

"Like this…" He finally decided to tell Manny the truth and hoped for the best.

"No, No, No, No."

"Calm down, Manny!"

"And you're telling me mom is going to go over there?" Manny asked anxiously.

"Yes. why?" Jay asked.

"Jay, you don't understand. If mom knows Alex is injured because of the kidnappers, she will go all Latin on the bad guys – with the police there or not."

-Mitchell's house-

Inside the house, Mitchell and Cameron are seen sitting in the living room, awaiting Luke's arrival.

Mitchell "Should we call them? Why have they not arrived yet?"

Cameron "Calm down, Mitchell. They will be here any moment, I am sure."

Instead of listening to Cam, Mitchell started to panic even more.

Mitchell "What if something happened to them on their way here? Like their car broke down? Shouldn't we do something?"

Cam "Don't talk nonsense Mitchell nothing will happen...."

Cameron is interrupted by a knock on their door.

Mitchell gets up from the couch and asks, "Are they here?"

Cameron - "I will go check."

Cameron then walks towards the door while Mitchell remains standing, awaiting the answer to his question.

Cameron opens the main door hoping to find Luke but finds an old man outside their door.

Cameron looked slightly disappointed but asked politely, "Uh, yes, sir. How can we help you?"

The old man replied rudely, "Well, you can help by telling me what you are doing inside my house."

Cameron looked confused and asked, "Uh, I think you are at the wrong house."

Old man "Me at the wrong house? No, your whole family is the wrong house. I am at the right place. You tell me why you are in my house?"

Mitchell stopped standing still and walked towards the door.

Mitchell "Look, Mr., this is 2211. You are at the wrong house."

Old man "Ah, see, you said 2211. Then I am at the right house."

Cam "That's not possible. We have...."

Before Cameron could finish speaking, the old man showed him his left hand, gesturing for Cam to stop. Then he started removing a notepad from one of his jacket pockets.

Then he flipped the pages, and finally, upon reaching the address noted down, he showed it to the two.

Old man "See, it says 2211."

Mitchell looked at the note and replied, "It says 2222, not 2211."

Old man "What did you say? Son, can you be louder?"

Cameron "It is 2222."

The old man put his hand up towards his ear, turned his ear towards them for better hearing, and asked, "What?"

Mitchell - "It says 2222 on the notepad."

The old man asked again, "What?"

Mitchell, frustrated from all the tension and now this, shouted, "I SAID IT IS 2222."

The old man shirked back and replied, "You don't need to shout loud like a donkey. I can hear you perfectly."

Mitchell "You."

Mitchell's hand had turned into a fist, but Cameron quickly took ahold of Mitchell's hands and whispered, "He is just an old man control yourself, Mitchell."

The old man saw Cameron's mouth moving and asked, "What did the fat one just say?"

Being insulted to his face, Cameron quickly got angry but controlled himself.

He then took the notepad from the old man, pointed at the line with the address, shoved it right in front of the old man's face, and said, "Look, it says 2222."

The old man finally realized his mistake and said, "Oh."

Mitchell "Yes, oh."

The old man grabbed his notepad from Cameron's hands and said, "Thank you, children. I better get going. My wife is waiting for me."

The old man then finally left Mitchell and Cameron's door. Cameron closed the door and said, "Oof, finally, what a mean old man."

Mitchell "Well, you know, age makes a person more outspoken."

Cameron "Are you calling me fat Mitchell?"

Mitchell "No, never. I was just agreeing."

Commentary starts

Mitchell is seen sitting alone in a chair.

"You saw what Cam did there. He is such a drama queen."

Cameron walks from behind, "Oh, you started without me? Why, Mitchell, do you not like me?"

Cameron then started crying and left the room.

Mitchell looked straight at the camera with dead eyes.

Commentary Ends

Mitchell and Cameron go back to sitting down on their couch.

-At Angles National Forrest-

Amanda and Claire are seen standing slightly inside the forest.

Amanda "Clarie, now that we are alone, can we talk."

Claire finished drinking water from Amanda's steel bottle.

"Yes," Claire replied in a calm manner, unlike a particular Hogwarts professor.

Amanda "Honestly, I don't even know where to start."

Claire was flustered but didn't reply.

Amanda "Do you not like Ryan? Did he do something that makes you feel so worried?"

Claire immediately replied, "No, Ryan is a good kid."

Amanda "Then why follow us, Claire?"

Claire "It's complicated. Alex is smart but still young, so I fear she will make a mistake."

Amanda "So you feel Ryan dating Alex is a mistake?"

Claire "No, it's just this is their first love, and with Alex being so socially awkward and Ryan being so perfect I fear what will happen to her if he dumps her."

Amanda smiled softly and said, "You want to know something?"

Claire - "What?"

"Well, you aren't helping his case. Honestly, if I didn't know just how nice and lovely Alex is, I would probably have prohibited him from dating her after your little stunt."

Claire "No, don't do that. I promise I will work on myself and better myself."

Amanda "Good, I sincerely hope so."

-Mitchell's house-

It had been five minutes since the last incident with the lost old man, and Mitchell and Cameron were back waiting on the couch.

Mitchell "It been so long I am calling them."

Cameron "No, Mitchell, you will do no such thing."

Commentary starts

Cameron is seen sitting alone on a chair.

"As you may have guessed, Mitchell doesn't handle tense situations very well."

Commentary ends

Cameron and Mitchell once again hear a knock at their door.

Mitchell "This time, it has to be them."

Mitchell then gets up and heads to open the door. However, when Mitchell finally opened the door, the sight he found left him shocked.

It was the same old man standing outside once again.

Cameron, from behind, upon seeing the old man, "What happened? Why is he back?"

Mitchell looked behind and answered, "I don't know."

The old man "Who are you two, and why are you at my house?"

Mitchell "What do you mean who we are? You just met us like five minutes ago."

The old man asked, "What?"

Mitchell "Not this again."
