38 038 - Introducing Atlas to my friends

Once I arrived on Earth-Prime with Atlas I checked on the barrier and its surroundings.

I froze upon sensing dozens of men and women outside the barrier examining it...damn.

The SCP Foundation already found me, well I will give them their credit, they are highly efficient seeing as they already found where I live...

But, meh. It's not like they can come in and bother us, and the barrier surrounded our home in a 10-mile radius so I doubt we will actually hear any of them.

Knowing that they would find some way to annoy me I expanded the barrier by another 10 miles and accidently swallowed up the SCP personnel that was previously outside the barrier.

Oops...Oh well, they will just wander back outside of the barrier.

I focused my senses back into my body and noticed that Atlas was examing our home.

He looked over and told me, "Your home looks...primitive, but I noticed all the materials of the building have the same properties as your 'Beacon'."

"Yea, I forgot to tell you but our world appears to be almost 3 centuries behind your world in terms of technology..."

Atlas sighed in annoyance before he asked "Well, it appears your world is just entering the Modern Age, but what else is different about your world?"

"Uh well, it's best if I just show you..." I told him before gesturing for him to follow me.

With Atlas following behind me we entered the house before stepping into the Living Room.

In the living room, I found that Mortimer and Bast were watching TV.

Noticing our arrival Mortimer and Bast turned towards and examined Atlas who stood next to me.

"Who's he?" Bast asked.

"My designation is Atlas, the first and only Sentient A.I. to be created by mankind," The robot identifies itself.

"Not here," Mort(Mortimer/Plague Doctor) responded to the A.I.

"You mean I have a brother much like myself in this world?" Atlas asked with hope.

"Yea...I probably should have told you that. Well, your 'brother' wanted to eliminate humanity among other things, and was a definite menace to society. I have been spending my free time recently to change his behavior..." I informed Atlas.

"Oh...Will you erase him?" He asked.

"No, as I have said, I am trying to change his behavior. Not only that I am basically completely rewriting his programming," I explained.

"I see..." Atlas murmured.

Atlas stopped talking for a few moments before switching the question.

"Are they humans? If so why does one of them have cat ears and a tail while the other...what is he?" Atlas asked while gazing at Mort.

"I am just a Docotor," Mort responded.

"Then what happened to your body...It appears as if your clothes are fused together with your body..." Atlas responded with his eyes glowing with red light.

Noticing that Mort stayed quiet and was uncomfortable with the question I switched the subject.

"Do you want to see the other tenant currently living within the house?" I asked Atlas and before he could respond I pulled him upstairs towards Cthulhu's room.

Atlas looked at the giant door for a few moments before I knocked on the door and asked if we could come in.

"Come in!" Shouted Cthulhu from inside the room.

With permission, I opened the door with Atlas following behind me.

As usual, inside we found Cthulhu playing a game from my original Earth.

Upon closer examination, I found that he was playing the Halo Series.

He pressed pause before swinging his chair to face us.

Both Cthulhu and Atlas stopped as they stared at each other, one was a sophisticated A.I. and the other was an Eldritch God, what could go wrong?

Well, it appears nothing, they just greeted each other and introduced themselves and to my surprise, became good friends within minutes...

I just watched with a dumbfounded expression.

You see I was expecting some kind of negative reaction, but no...they did the complete opposite!

I sighed in annoyance and just sat down while I waited for them to finish their conversations.

After 2 hours, yes 2 HOURS they finally stopped and I sighed in annoyance.

I asked Atlas if he would like to stay here for a while and he agreed.

I also gave him a Teleporter that would allow him to teleport to my beacon in his world and the beacon on Earth-Prime.

Sure this could be dangerous seeing how I have only known him for a day but I am not really that worried.

If he gives me trouble I can just throw him into my dimension until I have time to deal with him.

Letting Atlas stay in a guest room I stepped outside and took in a deep breath before suddenly hearing a strange buzzing noise in my ears.

I looked up to find a drone spying on me and the house.

"Fuck..."
