Modification Plan

William's eyes lit up when he heard what Sienna said. He wanted to know whether he should continue hoping to have special abilities or not. "In that case, can you do the test now?"

"Now?" Sienna was stunned. "I don't have the proper equipment!"

"What do you need?"

"…I'll give you the list instead of speaking it."

It didn't take long for Sienna to list out a lot of materials. Almost all of them could be retrieved from hospital, but the amount might be a completely different matter. After all, not every hospital had it all ready in the amount that Sienna would need.

"Will."

"Yes?"

"When will we stop?" Yakov asked. He had been driving for a long time. By now, they had already entered another residential area that was quieter and also a bit further from the central of the city. This place was also more quiet.

William raised his head and narrowed his eyes. "Find an empty building nearby."

"What kind of building?" Gloria asked. She had already moved down and currently looked outside the window.

"Something that can possibly protect us…."

"How about that construction company?" Gloria pointed to a distance. There was a large building made of metal not far on their right. It belonged to a small construction company but since the situation of this place was already very poor, it was abandoned.

William glanced and nodded lightly. "Alright, let's head there."

"Got it."

Yakov steered the car towards the building. They stopped in front of the large door and William jumped out. He carried his gun and a metal bat on the other hand. Almost immediately, he could sense that there were a few Xermo roaming around.

"Careful."

"Ok."

Walking stealthily, William got closer to the building. He noticed that there were some marks of fights on the wall and floor. There might be some unfortunate incidents occurred here when the Xermo broke loose.

'Time to clean up.'

Swish!

With a swift movement, William got behind the first Xermo that he saw. His right hand raised the metal bat that began to rain down crazily towards the Xermo, beating him black and blue.

Thud!

As the Xermo fell down, William side stepped to the side. Another Xermo had appeared and tried to catch him off guard. He swung his right hand and the metal bat hit the stomach of the Xermo. Afterwards, William hit the back of the Xermo's head with his other hand that was holding a handgun.

Several more Xermo appeared and William finished them cleanly. On the other hand, Yakov was shooting those who were quite a distance away.

As the last Xermo fell to the ground, William wiped his face. He glanced up. "We'll need to find more bullets later."

"We can head over to the police station tomorrow," Yakov replied.

William nodded. "Check the second floor."

"Roger."

It didn't take long for them to check the entire area and only after they were done did they opened the door and drove the camping bus inside. The area was spacious, providing them with enough space to park the camping bus.

Rozan's eyes shone when he saw the pile of metals and some other junk in one side. "This…. Can we stay here for the time being?"

"Yes?" William asked back.

"There might be some materials that's more suitable for the camping bus. In addition, I want to create a door at the roof so that you will be able to shoot around aside from the window at the side. Then…"

As Rozan began to explain his plan, William was astonished. They only rode the camping bus for a short period of time but Rozan already found out several things that he could modified? That mean as long as they had enough material and time, Rozan would be able to create a much stronger camping bus for them to use.

Yakov was also interested. "Why don't you add a laser beam or bazooka…."

Bletak!

"How do you think we're going to find weapons like that in this area?" William asked in exasperation. He felt that his best buddy had his intelligent robbed from him.

"That's hurt…" Yakov rubbed the back of his head and sighed. "Well, we can make it?"

"Can you make it, Yakov?"

"No."

"Then?"

"Gloria…"

"I can't," Gloria cut off Yakov's words without hesitation. What a joke. She first saw and held gun a few days earlier thanks to William teaching her how to hold it. It would be impossible for her to make something like that.

"Rozan…"

"I'm not a weapon maker," Rozan explained almost immediately with an apologetic smile. "I can't make something like that, Yakov."

"Sienna…."

"I'm a scientist that specialize in virus," Sienna cut off Yakov's words without hesitation. She couldn't even shoot properly and now he wanted her to know how to make guns?

Yakov was at lost then looked at William as if asking for help. Unfortunately, his best friend had no intention to help him over as the latter shook his head lightly.

"I'm not a weapon maker too, Yakov. Stop with your ridiculous plan."

"Fine," Yakov whimpered.

William felt like face palming right now because the previously fearless soldier now looked like a lost puppy who was itching for something that he couldn't get. He turned his head to look at Rozan. "How much time do you need to finish the modification?"

Rozan rubbed his short beard. "Probably around 2 to 3 days."
