Prologue

Life, what is life? Such a simple word, yet, within it, resides such a vast meaning. Is life really something that is great, or is it just another façade? How should one come about to live his life? I've been wondering that very question for my entire life. Today, however, I've learned that living life alone isn't what makes it such a gift, but rather, the latter should be paired alongside something that holds greater importance, a purpose.

"Don't do it, PLEASE STAY WITH US, WE NEED YOU." The agonizing screams of a group of people could be heard in the midst of this disharmonious background. I guess they don't want me to leave, but this is my contract, I must fulfill it. It's actually odd because I've wanted this for so long now, but when it's finally time, I don't want to leave. I guess that's karma for you. The memories of the past four years have made this mediocre life of mine worth it. One of the brightest memories I have is about this one girl. How can I forget her? Greenish eyes which ended with flakes of gold, gorgeous dark crimson colored hair and her rosy pink cheeks.

"ASHFORD, DON'T LEAVE ME." That angelic voice which gracefully tickled my ears amongst this hell can only be one person, my one and true friend. However, it's too late now, everything is fading away, it's becoming darker and darker, meanwhile, the cacophonous background slowly went mute. Finally, I've found peace and quiet.
