5 [CHAPTER 5]: EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED

The old man named 'noa' is on my left side while I saw a black hair kid named 'tepes' on the other side. And I was between them, sitting on a hospital bed. I looked into my left side and asked him.

"What is this place anyway? It seems I'm not in kyrie anymore. There were no sign of tragedy everywhere."- zen

"Well, it's been six years after all."-tepes

He blurted out. I glance at his direction in the corner of my eyes and look to my hands and body.

"I see, no wonder my body grows so much. "- zen

Grand noa tap my right shoulder that makes me look at his direction.

"Zen, you're in the place called 'red country' and I'm the sage or the one who lead this country. "- noa

I confusedly look at him and I saw a long cane that was taller than his own height and looked at him again.

"Red country? That was the first time that I never heard of that place. Is another name of a place on map increase again? "- zen

Tepes crosses his arms and smirks as he looking down at me.

"No, it isn't. You remember one of your memories right? That sphere brings you here in a different world from your world of humans."- tepes

My eyebrows met as I rolled my eyes and looked at him in disbelief.

"Different you say? In my own opinion kid, this is likely a normally a world I always been. And human? Then what did you call yourself? An alien or another species that disguise like people? Bitch please, If you're saying a joke then make it funnier 'cause its really lame."- zen

I saw his little hand reaches my chin and made me look up into his piercing gaze with his glowing dark red eyes.

"For your information human pest, what I said is true. Know your place or I'll kill you in one flick on the forehead of yours."-tepes

I felt his aura grow stronger in murder intent but I feel a shaking sensation in my bed, my gray-colored orbs rolled downward and I saw his tiptoed feet shakes to make himself looked down at me. I covered my mouth to prevent to laugh. He discovered it and blush in embarrassment since I can't hold it anymore I laughed loudly and I heard noa's laughter as well.

"Geez! Cut it out you two!"- tepes

After several hours, the hospital crews gave food to the patients, and the one that was delivered to me are rice soup and a herbal medicine juice and the two have their own food. As we eating I broke the silence.

"If I was really in a different world, and you're different from me since I'm a human. Then can you show me more proof? I don't really believe until I saw it. Seeing hydro using magic is like a dream."-zen

They stop eating in halfway as I speak and noa put down on his food utensils. He waves his scepter around and a red light shines as he shouted a word.

"GRIMOIRE!"- noa

A red book that appeared as the light fades, it opened its own and the pages flip and it faces us. But it was a blank page. The book is still floating when I touched it my finger without realizing it myself, I was electrocuted and was push back forcibly like I was been hit a final blow in a fight. But tepes catch my body before it was gonna hit on the wall. Noa laughs as he looked at us.

"You shouldn't do that zen, no one touches a grimoire unless if its the owner. The meaning of grimoire is 'book of spells.' and as you can see its blank pages no matter how you flip."- noa

He waved his scepter near the grimoire and the pages flip again, tepes help me get up to lay my body to the bed and he speaks as while putting the white blanket on me, answering my question cause my expression was clearly asking why.

"That's because the only grimoire owner who can see the content inside it. The grimoire owners are called 'mages', the mages are the magic casters who creates magic spells that can protect themselves and the others or any purposes. If there are light mages that stays in the good path there are also dark that have fallen."- tepes

Noa sighs and leans his forehead into his scepter while looking at his grimoire.

"Well, there's the highest race of all In this world, they are called 'magus'. the magus is the most powerful and chosen ones who can see the flowing energy to others that we called 'mana'. aside from seeing mana, They can use it unlimitedly but since magus'z physical stamina is draining much from it they have to train their body more than anybody. They been loved by the mana surrounding us and can possibly be chosen as kings and queens ."-noa

He sliced the book by his two fingers and it dissolves in the air and I heard a thunderous voice that I didn't know where it came from.

"Don't move me around too much master noa, I feel sick."

I saw noa speak into his scepter and evilly smiled. He swing it up and down fast to tease the scepter more I hear the voice in that thing scream even his voice was deep. My face turns pale and points at the talking scepter shakingly.

"The--the…scepter is talking?! that's supposed to be a non-living thing isn't it?!"- zen

Tepes looked at me boringly. He picked an apple in the basket and chomp some of it, and speak while eating an apple.

"That's flame. The fire scepter of noa. The old man is chosen to be a fire magic-user. But the most unexpectedly happen to him was.."-tepes

I feel someone is on my back and before I turn around it whispered into my ear.

"I chose him as the fire magus since he was a kid."

I gulped as I looked back and I saw a beautiful long red-haired man in red kimono with golden fabric wrapped on his waist, his slanted eyes and goldish orbs that can strike any women's heart. A perfectly handsome man appeared in my front in his 20's smiled at me that make my heart skipped a beat. In my peripheral vision, tepes'z face was near on my right cheek and flicks my forehead, I yelped and rub where he flicked it and looked at him angrily as he scoffs.

"Don't look at him like that, what a pervert starstruck human you are. And don't be fooled on his appearance since he lives more than a thousand years."- tepes

"You moment breaker kid! Don't mess with it! Can't you read the situation here?!"- zen

"I'm not a kid for hell's sake! You human pest!"-tepes

He pokes my forehead more that makes me pinch his cheeks and pulled it, In the corner of my eye I saw flame floats and hugged noa from behind giggling as he looked at us.

"They are really getting along aren't they?"-flame

" I agreed on flame, I'm truly glad that they are"-noa

The veins in our temples popped and looked at them with rage in our expressions as we point each other answering them in chorus.

"As if ill get along with this creature!"
