6 Mission start - Tokyo Ghoul (5)

"Oh but wait, before we start the missions, I need to first see if my katana can absorb the Kueng."

Lifting up both of the swords, he uses his right hand to hold the quinque and his left hand to hold his wooden sword. Then as he looks at it he realized a problem.

"System, how does one have his sword absorb another sword."

[To have the katana absorb the sword, you need to just have the katana touch the other sword or material and say absorb.]

"Oh okay, wait does that mean in a fight I could just have my sword absorb my opponent's sword or use my sword to absorb random materials like a wall"

[It is possible for you to do that but when your sword is in its state of absorption, while it is changing and evolving, the weapon would become incredibly weak. If while it is evolving, the sword was to brake then not only would the evolution fail, the weapon would be permanently damaged.]

"Oh, well that throws that plan out of the way. (damn it would have been funny to see people just going, 'huh where did my sword go' or 'huh where did my diamond go' or.. Let's stop there) well here goes nothing"

Lifting up his katana, he brings it up to the quinque and says,

"Absorb"

And once he said it the sword like a black hole pulled, no vaporized the quinque into dust and absorbed it into itself. Then the katan had started to darken into a black luster like glass as it slowly starts to change into the shape of the sword.

"Hey system, do you know how long this would last"

[As this is the first time the sword will change and also the fact that the quinque that is being absorbed has some special functions, it would take around 11 hours before it is completely absorbed.]

"11 HOURS!? Damn thats gonna be long"

[Now as the absorption and evolution process is happening, we shall now tell you the mission for this scenario]

"Oh yeah that, come on tell me"

[For this scenario, you are given 3 tasks to accomplish and they are the following in no particular order:

Task 1 - Promotion to Special Investigator

Task 2 - Kill an SSS rank ghoul

Task 3 - Kill 50 ghouls

Task 4 - Befriend 5 ghouls]

Looking at the tasks, what immediately caught his attention was the SSS mark and seeing that he had to kill one, Uquan felt like he just got fucked. He then looked at the task right below it and gets shocked once again. Not only does he have to kill and SSS rank ghoul, he is going to have to kill 50 ghouls. Luckily it doesn't specify what rank for the 50 ghouls he has to kill so at least that makes it easier. Then he looks at the 4 task and feels a weird sensation go through him. The fact that he would have to kill more ghouls than befriend them causes him to have and odd yet confused feeling. He doesnt know how to explain it but he just felt injustice at the fact that he had to kill more than befriend even if they are ghouls because from what he understood, ghouls are still humans, right?

Trying to shake that weird feeling away he looks back at the first task and even though he is shocked at the fact he is going to have to get the highest possible position a ghoul investigator could be, it is still mild compared to task 2 and 3 as he feels that he would naturally gain that rank after he accomplishes those 2 tasks.

[After receiving everything we have to offer for this missions, we shall go dormant but if you have any questions you may ask and we will respond. To make it so that you would not have to constantly ask us questions if you forget, you could say or think 'Open my status' so you could see your equipment, skills, battle power and tasks]

"Wait battle power, what's that.. Wait never mind it seems pretty self-explanatory. It's basically just how strong a person is right"

[To be more accurate, it would be how strong a person would be in their most optimal state possible. To help make sure that you do not die recklessly, we have given you the ability to see the battle power of individuals as long as you have spoken to them. Now we shall go dormant and don't forget to ask us any questions if you need to. Just say "System, and the question". Please do not bother us with simple questions. Goodbye for now.]

After the system finally said its last words, a weird silence comes down upon the room. As Uquan had been busy the whole time he really didn't feel anything the entire time, maybe because of adrenaline, but now that he has gotten a momentary pause of silence he stars to feel tired. He looks back at his situation and realizes how ridiculous it is and how weirdly easy it seemed for him to accept everything, even the concept of killing. Slowly getting more and more tired, his eyes start to feel heavy and thinking to himself that he has faced more than enough today, he decides to go to his newly acquired bed and before he could even lift up the blankets he falls asleep on his pillow.
