1 I need fruits!

The birds are singing it was echoing into the boundless forest that stretches as far as the eye could see, towering trees that almost pierce the sky was covering the forest from the warm light coming from the sun. everything was still as if the earth forsaken this gloomy forest that was executing the aura of a graveyard, yet when everything was still there was a movement that could be seen.

A young man around 20 years old was sitting behind one of the towering trees, his bald head did not reflect because the sunlight cant pierces through the forest. he slowly opened his eyes that was gentle as though showing their compassion for all beings, his wheat-colored skin was hiding in his orange robes that were old as if it survive a storm.

'I am Richard, now I'm hungry what food is available right now?' rubbing his stomach he stands up slowly and glance at his surroundings, there were no roars of wild animals even a worm could not be seen, it was deadly quiet but Richard just simply sat beside the towering tree. 'last night food was the apple, now I have no apples, do I have to go back there again?'

He was travelling this boundless forest looking for a supply of food, last time he was lucky because he spotted a big tree that had a large number of apples. but every hour he will eat one or two so the big tree turned into a miserable as it did not have any apple on its branches, the sound of his stomach was making a low whimpering sound.

'I need to find food or else I will die of starvation!' he really hates his stomach every time he would dream of being an immortal so that he doesn't need to worry to eat, standing up he patted the towering tree behind him. he will look again for another place to stay, that was his habit he would travel place to place like an immortal slaying demons from the other world.

Thinking about his unrealistic thought he started to laugh, after walking for quite some time he paused. he focus on his surroundings the grass was tall it was reaching his knees and when he listens again there was a rustling sound coming not far away from him, 'Oh no this must be a snake!' his expression was like a soldier being surrounded by hundreds of enemies it was tense.

The rustling sound stopped but he stays rooted to his spot, slowly walking back and running in the opposite direction. after he was gone the rustling continued until it revealed a plump white rabbit staring in his direction with innocent eyes, catching his breath Richard turned his head behind him and after making sure everything was okay did he let out a big sigh 'I survived a disaster! based on my experiences in living in this forest it was a snake and most of them are poisonous! and from the movement of the grass it should be big.'

His thoughts were interrupted when he heard the sound of water, his eyes turned big and he followed the direction of the sound. in front of him, there was a river its blue water colliding with the small stones that stands on their way, he looks to his left where the water was heading and found that it was a lake. 'Maybe there are fruits or nuts there, but now I need to drink.' he walked to the side of the river and uses his hand as a bucket to drink, he glance above and saw the white clouds that were passing by he was satisfied.

It was rare to find this river and to watch the white clouds made him happy because the towering trees are blocking the view above so he can't even watch properly. after drinking more he knew he needed to find fruits to eat as for hunting fish? he was a monk killing was forbidden! after walking he took a careful look at the lake that was still even bubbles didn't appear, 'Just looking at this lake gives me the hibee-gibees!'

Caressing his chin based on his experience on living in this forest, there was bound to be a crocodile and they seem to have wisdom because if the water is still animals will think it is safe thus they will drink with a smile on their face, they don't know that below was a crocodile that was looking at its meal. the lake that was in front of him was wide enough to fit a two elephant he carefully walked to the side while keeping a few meters away from the lake, after tens of seconds the lake behind him disappeared as he continued to walk forward.

After his figure disappeared like a bubble on the lake there was a small ripple followed by a green animal jumping to the land unknown number of fish swam in every direction and some snails could be seen, the frog stared in the direction of Richard after a few koak it jumped away looking for food the fish were swimming freely and for quite some time they seem to be happy as though glad because there are no predators.

'Why I'm witnessing dangers every time? first the big snake and then the crocodiles, this is a bad omen!' Richard's eyebrows were tight as his face was ugly his luck seemed to ran out after he found the river. a tree that was tall and fairly sturdy caught his attention, but to his surprise there were fruits! 'Is my luck turning better now?' he clapped his hands and smiled as he approaches the tree there was a yellow fruit called banana they are many which can support him for days, he climbed the tree and grabbed a few to satisfy his hunger.

After eating one, two, three he was happy! it was delicious turning his head he touched the tree and found no problem, he sat beside it and took a look at his surroundings while eating the banana. the trees here were not high enough like his last place, it was good for him but after looking for a bit more he found that there was a tree that had bees on it their appearance alone causes him to feel a stinging feeling.

The sun was boiling as it threatens to cook the forest alive, fortunately, the tree behind him provided him a cover, the big green leaves was like an umbrella taking all the heat to protect him. his throat was crying for water because of continuous eating of banana, he ate ten so the effect was clear he glances in the direction of the river and saw the blazing light that pierces the ground.
