"Eli.."

"yes mommy?"

"tell me, What is a grasshopper that can't hop? A lion with no roar, a eagle that can't fly, or a sun with no heat or light?"

"I… dont...know.."

"look for the answers my son…" her voice  soon followed by a forever lasting silence

"MOTHER!"

His family is known all throughout the USA they are a prestigious bunch with only one rival. For 5 millennial they've been on top, their powers growing every generation. Then one child in the prestigious family had no powers. Normally the powers would activate at the age of 5 or 6 but by his 8th birthday the boy never got his powers, his father, brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, and his grandparents all started to act like he never existed. He's now 11 and the hate has finally broke the young boy. Tears rain down his cheek like a river with everlasting water. But no one asks what's the matter. Later that night he finds that one of the maids carelessly left a window open. He turns his head around checking every direction then thinks to himself "like anyone will care if i'm gone" he then launches out the window just barely landing beyond the gate leading to the outside world. As he begins running off he looks at all his siblings training on the training grounds, he glares biting his lip and runs off. Hours later he passes out next to a tree. " oh right I forgot to pack food….". Awoken by the smell roasted meat and rice he looks around to see the Cause and finds himself  on the bed in a stranger's house. He walks to the source of the smell and standing in the kitchen is a girl seeming to be in her mid 20's greeted him with "are you ok? I made lunch you seem to be Hungry" stunned by the fact someone is actually talking to him he stands there saying nothing for a minute or two. "o..oh y..yes I am…" he sits patiently waiting, unsure whether he should trust the girl or not. She hands him a plate full of food and he immediately starts eating the beef leading into the rice.

Midway through eating, the girl ask him "Hey how come you were passed out in the woods?...oh my name's  Melanie by the way"

he quickly drops his spoon and his blissful face turns to a depressed look. "I ran away…"  he shows no eye contact. She soon responds

"why?"

" if I told you...you'd hate me to…"

"oh God did you Rob someone!?" says with a funny but serious look on her face.

"N-no I have no powers, and in my family powers mean everything so treated my like waste that would soon be tossed away… so I ran"

"well if it makes you feel better I have no powers either" says with a huge and warm smile. His mood went from sad to happy blushing ever so slightly. "my names elijah" returning a smile. "well Eli, their are other ways to get strong then just having powers you know"

"oh yeah? Like what?"

"well my family are the greatest martial artist in the world and it has cool moves that trick people Into thinking it's a super power"

"I would love to learn it!!"

"then come with me"

Fast Forward 5 years, 16 years old Eli is the youngest to master this form of martial arts and in the shortest amount of time. Back at eli's house. "Damien have you found any trace of that pathetic brother of yours?"

"yes father"

"well then.. go get him!"

At the residence of the martial artist Damien arrives and immediately starts destroying things In Search of Eli. Teacher Interrupts his destructive rampage. " why are you doing this?"

"where is my brother!?"  

"who's is your brother?"

"Elijah target"

"H-He's not here, he's mountains"

Damien flies towards Eli and greets him by attacking him.

But Damien hits an after image and soon finds himself surrounded with multiple elis all looking perfectly identical. Damien stunned, soon attacks all the images causing them all to blow away but one falls to the ground. Damien walks over to Eli and points a sword at his face and recites a question Eli could never answer. "What is a grasshopper that can't hop? A lion with no roar, a eagle that can't fly, or a sun with no heat or light?"

…...still Don't know? Well I'll answer it for you, it's simple…. It's useless! Just like you are" he laughs obsessively. The Eli on the ground vanishes making Damien realise it was the real Eli. Eli soon appears behind Damien and hits pressure point precisely leaving Damien unconscious and answer soon after replies to his question " no Damien... I do know the answer now, It's become very clear Over the years. They are still same animal." Eli vanishes making his way towards the village and going to see the village leader.

"great leader!"

Eli bows on one knee.

"we….we must prepare for war"
